Q: Why is this just one bite ii cheaper than the bucket that has the same amount?

This is a box of 8- one pound packages, with each package having eight bars that you have to break apart. They are pretty tough to snap, and the crumbs go everywhere. If you are putting the bars in small bait stations, the pre-cut small chunks in the big bucket will be a lot easier to handle. However, if you are treating a large barn where you can hide the bars instead of using bait stations, this package of larger bars will do the trick.

Q: Do the bars have a hole through them so that you can put the bars on a rod??

Yes, there is a hole a bit over a 1/16" in the middle going thru the complete 6" length of each piece of bar

Q: I have been putting out 1 broke up bar a day mixed with peanutbutter. Is this not enough bait? It is gone everyday within 12 hrs. & as soon as 2 hrs.

First of all you are just wasting peanut butter ! They go after this bait like their life depended on it. It depends on your square footage for how much you need to put out and you don’t need to put it out every day depending on the infestation. You see wherever there is one mouse there are many more. What you should do is cut up a full bar (at least) and spread the bits in every room. EVERY ROOM. If you don’t see an improvement within 5 days repeat the procedure. You see any rodent that eats this dies within 48 hours. So if you have been putting it out every night and it’s gone every day that tells you you have a bigger infestation than you thought. However, don’t panic this is the best product on the market. Trust me. Hope this helps you.
