Q: Has anyone tried making cookies in this?

Yes, i make what i named as a beautiful jumbo size chocolate chip cookie pie.. It's not too flat and it'dms not toi fat.. Just a beautiful chewy size cookie. I put just a tiny bit under 4 oz of cookie dough rolled in a ball into each cavity. I have photos for anyone interested to see. I just made them yesterday ( May 15, 2016) for a catered event. Q: what do the cup size measure across

In the product description it says the cups are 3 1/2 inches in diameter by 2 inches. I measured and they are 3 1/2 inches at the bottom and 4 inches at the top.

Q: Is too shallow to use to make English muffins in? How deep is it?

I've never used it to make English muffins, but I have used it to make hamburger buns....works great! I love the pan and it's1/2 inch deep.

Q: Is this the same as the pan previously called the Yorkshire Pudding pan?

Bought it today and used it. They came out ok but i put it down to me being unfamiliar with the shallower pan. Yorkies came out. I use 428f and marry berries recipe. Half inch deep 3.5 wide. Ive nailed the cupcake size i want a large pud.
