Goetland Stainless Steel WWII US Military Canteen Kit 1QT with 0.5QT Cup Nylon Cover G.I. for Camping

Perfect size, hasn't leaked, love the design, it is very comfortable on the hip, whilst running it bobs quite a bit with the water inside but it is still very comfortably and after a while I don't even realise it's there. The screw in the lid is sticking out a bit but I haven't had any problems with it, and I feel if I screw it down it might puncture the lid. So I'm happy where it is. The cover is nice and sturdy. I haven't used the cup to heat up water yet but I'm sure it holds true. Perfect piece of equipment to go with my airsoft. And day to day use. 100 %recommend.

Its very well made i remember my plastic TA issued one and this is far better. Easy to attach to a belt or bag and very hardy. Remember that in bushcraft or on your travels plastic simply doesnt do the job especially if you're wanting to brew tea, coffee or food straight off your campfire. This features a perfect mug with a collapsable handle and all is made of high quality stainless steel. The bag attatchment is awesome as it will help the bottle last longer and help keep it clean. My favourite part, other than how bushcraft proffessional it looks, is the sturdy lid chain which means you wont ever lose the lid whilst hiking etc. This is hands down quality for money as this style lasts for decades, that tends to be what military gear is crafted for. Brilliant piece of gear and a lot of uses. Thankyou very much sellers it came within days and is brand new. Love this

Bigger than I expected (I'm british so don't have a strong mental picture of how big a 'quart' is). Feels sturdy, doesn't leak. Loses a star for the bag being a bit... Baggy. It doesn't seem poorly constructed, just a bit too big for the canteen and has a weird way of opening and closing. Will replace. Mostly because it isn't black and I like me some goth. Overall, though, a nice canteen. After a year or so of semi-regilar light use I'm taking a star off. The canteen, it turns out, came with a sort of lip curled under the. Opening of the bottle that was full of some sort of machine residue or grease or chemical that I was unwittingly drinking. Also makes it hard to wash since it's awkward to get up in there. The lid is not reliable. Will leak and will fall off and get your new laptop wet if you pick it up by the lid. Still don't think it deserves one or two stars, though.

This might not be exact brand/model that's issued to American troops but it is the same design. The stainless steel is food grade quality so doesn't affect the taste of contents. The mug doubles as a cooking vessel which is convenient and means less weight needs to be carried. Used on a survival weekend in Wales and was very pleaseed with this purchace.

Top quality kit. Very solidly made and excellent standard of finish. The bottle is clean and the cap gives a water-tight seal. The mug is solid but boil time on a hexamine stove was still quick and both outside and in cleaned easily after use. the pouch seems well made and holds the bottle and mug with enough room over for some filter cones and purification tabs. Good value for the price.

This is one of my go to items when camping. I use a fish mouth spreader to hang the water bottle over the fire to boil/sterilise stream water. The wide mouth on the bottle is ideal and the cup itself is well made, especially the handles. All in all it's pretty much perfect.

The canteen itself seems good but the fabric bag was torn at the seem. I don't want to return the whole thing, I would just like a replacement bag. I can't find any way to contact the seller to arrange this.

Does exactly what it's meant for. I'm using it for drinking water, keeping it in the van cab for work days. I wanted something I could reuse for a long time to come, this seems to fit the notion. I have no use for the cup but tye pouch helps if there is condensation because it does get very cold ! A good stainless flask.

The bag was quite odd however it is a good bottle and works well with heat.

Das Produkt macht in meinen Augen einen sehr wertigen Eindruck. Da alles aus Stahl ist kann man sowohl in der Flasche als auch in dem Becher kochen. Achtung die Flasche ist nicht isoliert, also Getränktemperatur = Gefäßtemperatur, was für den Winter optimal ist! So kann man die Flasche mit warmem Wasser in den Schlafsack legen und hat eine warme Nacht! Vorher einmal mit dem Tuch durch dem Becher gehen, da noch leichte "Spähne" vom Abdrehen drin sind, das ist aber normal. Die Tasche macht auch einen wertigen Eindruck, es hat sich also gelohnt 10 Euro mehr in die Hand zu nehmen! Kann ich sehr empfehlen!

A VERY reasonably price for an actual stainless steel canteen and cup. I'm a veteran and wish I could of used this instead of the plastic/aluminum one I was issued.

If your looking for a true US GI kit, this isn't it, but it is quite close. The cover is a little big, but it does make it easier to take the canteen and cup out. Canteen is well built, no leaks. The cup is a good size, well built and easy to clean. The cover is also of good quality, no lose threads that I could see.
