This is my first root cover-up product. I have medium auburn hair, I ordered the light brown. I love this stuff. I wasn't sure if I should go with a spray, or mascara wand type, or powder... I figured I would try this first and maybe go through many before (if) I found a product I liked. But I am very impressed with this product. Why? I have always had thin hair... a lot of it, but thin. As my gray expanded, it started to appear like I had bald spots on my head where the roots come out close to my scalp. Many of you with more than 20% gray know what I mean... there starts to be an optical illusion when the gray is by your scalp and a few shades or more lighter than your hair color. I was only looking for a product to cover the gray in-between dye jobs, but this does more! This powder put at my part line, temples... where you start to see those grays... it puts a dust of color on my scalp too and makes my hair look much fuller. My hair is also a little oily. As a bonus, it seems to work as a dry shampoo. Which is SUPER FANTASTIC! I was looking into product options and some reviews on root cover-ups reported problems like running when wet (or sweaty), staining skin, or color coming off on hands/brush throughout the day. I have not noticed any of that. If I pull my hair back and put it on some of the powder does get on my forehead and temples. It’s really easy to wipe it off with a facial tissue or blender, it comes off my skin but sticks to my hair. It comes with an applicator, which I used at first. It worked OK but I found it much easier to use a long-handled make-up brush. I use one that is medium in size... about an inch in width... much smaller than a blush brush but quite a bit bigger than an eye shadow brush. If I had any critique it would be that some of my more wirey grays, like right at my ear, take the color but still appear lighter. The color actually sticks better when it’s not squeaky clean or if I use a product like mouse first, so it has something to stick to. Happy tinting!

This powder is just as good as the more expensive ones. It can get a little messy as you get closer to using it all but they all do that. It’s affordable and a good product. Matter of fact, I need to order some more!!!!

Before I start, I want to state the brush is not included in the purchase! I love SEVICH Hair Shadow Powder!! I have been using it for years to touch up my gray coverage. Honestly, some of my friends didn’t even know I had gray because it works so well and it lasts. I have applied it on wet hair dry hair. It works equally as well. The colour light brown is spot on to the description. I have used the sponge that is in the bottom of the container however, I prefer a brush with short bristles to apply it. Don’t wait just order it, you won’t be disappointed

This is my third purchase. I love it! I have tried other products but this exceeds them all. It gives maximum coverage to grey hair and scalp. It stays all day. No mess on pillow. Did I say I love this product!!!!! Great price and value for your money.

Very little powder to put on hair , but we must don t wash hair because it will be disappearing
