Shadowrun: Shadows of North America (FPR25015) Paperback – August 1, 2004

This is well written and has great maps. Now it's set in 3rd edition and is in the 2060's timeline so if you are following the SR universe some of these hooks have resolved or evolved but it can still be useful as a SR history book. The NAN are covered really well and I think it's better than the 2nd edition NAN sourcebook. If you are running a game in North America this books should be considered a necessary purchase.I don't know how I played SR without this book.

While set in 2064, I continue to think that the Shadows series is a must get for a SR fan. It has nice summaries of the North American nations, and is very useful for background information. I continue to be horrified by the condition of Tsimshian.One of the things I really appreciate, when compared to the two NAN volumes, is the focus on nation information. The Shadows books aren't complicated by including full adventures. If I want an adventure, there are nice Missions out there to get. Fan Pro did a nice job with the Background works, while Catalyst does a good job with the Missions line.Look for a PDF copy of the never released Shadows of Latin America. Another great read.

Shadows of North America beschreibt die politische Landkarte Nordamerikas in der Welt von Shadowrun. Es ist nicht so ausführlich wie die Beschreibung von Megaplexen wie Seattle, doch man erfährt alles wichtige über jeden der Staaten inklusive einiger bedeutender Personen oder Konzern-Angelegenheiten. Nicht unbedingt Pflicht aber geeignet für Spiele, die sich mit Nordamerika beschäftigen.
