Mute: Dragon Runners Book 1 Mute and Kat
A friend recommended Mute to me. I was very skeptical. The few MC books so far have been duds. So a Disability MC romance? ( I am part of the disability community personally and family members.) So my few of books in the genre I read differently than others.ML Nystorm actually wrote a story that did impress me with how she showed what Mute was thinking and feeling. That said though, this is a short story and it's predominantly club life and lite on the relationship between Mute and Kat. There was a lot missed opportunities to build between Mute and Kat, where the author moved from a pivotal event to and only had a scene with Mute. Before jumping to the HEA. Rushes like this in stories I find disappointing. There is a heart felt letter written by Mute that is extremely difficult to read in the Kindle Unlimited book I borrowed. As the cursive writing is very small and I couldn't enlarge it. It was also a light gray font. I could read some of it but not much of the 2 pages.True Opinion 3.5Probability I will read book 2 Fair.

So good!
This story has one big MC family, with Mute the enforcer falling hard for Kat. The romance is slow, with each keeping the other at arms length. I couldn't wait for them to finally give in. Can't wait to read more from this series.

when you can sit
Down and read the complete book in three hours you know you have a good one. But as with the others in this series is it any wonder? Knowing the hardships those two faced, WOW. Such a beautiful story. And it just proves you only need one person to love and to believe in youšššš»

I need a soft heart man like Mute
Very sweet romance(when they finally get together, though). I'm so glad they were able to find the love they both deserved. I didn't liked much the way the stroy was written, I was expecting to see more of his POV and the last chapter I wasn't expecting to be from another's characters POV besides the main one's. This story was like the author tried to make a slow-burn into a novella, I definitely wanted more details on their relationship building up. Still, it was a very sweet love when they finally got together. I would recommend if you're looking for something short and biker vibes!

pleasant surprise
I like how the characters were built up. The way Kat knows is pretty dang good. When you get to the part with the hand written script increase your font a few times to make the cursive easier to read. All in all a good story and I intend to read more from the series.I really like Brick and Betsey too.

Good story
I just felt like the story moved so fast. It covered some time, but would jump weeks at a time which I guess is fine if you just want a quick read. I wish there was more character development and history. It just all seemed so easy. Kat and Mute just fall in love and thatās that. Sure, he tries to push her away, but not really. Thereās no fight in it. She doesnāt fight for him to let her in. One moment heās keeping his distance and the next sheās his old lady. Thereās potential with this book. Maybe the next one will get better since this was the first in the series. I donāt know. Iāll probably try the next book and see what happens.

Awesome Read
I fell in love with Mute and Kat. This was a well written book that might not have the grit of other MC books but it showed feelings. The letter that Mute wrote trying to explain his feelings for Kat was beautiful. I saw one reviewer saying it wasn't written very well. Mute wrote from his heart and remember he wasn't highly educated. Beautiful book and I will I am sure reread it. The ending was written so detailed, I felt like I was there.

Speechless
It's the most wholesome MC story I've ever read ššš their story takes its time to build and though there's instant attraction, it's not like other stories where everything happens in a matter of days which feels too rushed.Had a great time reading it. Mute is a love and Kat's good too. However I could've done without so much slutshaming

An MC story told from the outside looking in.
Though this is an MC story, itās not so much about the MC as about the people within it. Itās a family. This tale is told from the outside looking in. Kat was raised in foster care. She has never really had much of a family. The longest she stayed somewhere was 6 years but CPS took her away when the woman caring for her got too old. She has never had stability and never really allowed herself to be noticed.Kat is training to be a nurse. She is nearly at the end of her studies but is flat broke and just about to start her job working at a bar owned by the local MC. She is taken under the wing of Betsey the Old Lady of the MC president and she is a wonderful character who works her fingers to the bone for her family and friends. She appreciates the hard work and help Kat gives and slowly we see Kat begin to trust the support and friendship of the MC.Mute is, as expected, mute. He is a big man who is the MC enforcer who was made mute in a knife attack years ago. He has been hurt and doesnāt believe he is worth much of anything other than what he can give to his MC. It is his family as his mother wasnāt worth much of anything. The story is mainly told from Katās point of view as she comes to understand the MC, which became clean a few years ago and tries to give to the local community. They run several businesses host charity events. Kat mainly sees the MC as a whole with only a few individuals who bond with her.Itās an interesting way of telling an MC story and I liked it a lot as so often MC romances could be interchangeable for how they are written. It surprises me that this is the authorās first book as it is really well written from start to finish. Sometimes first novels have real promise but they donāt seem like the real finished article because they are missing experience and/or a great editor. I donāt know if this author had a great editor or not, but sheās done a great job nonetheless.I canāt wait to read the next in the series.
