Works flawlessly for movies
It pretty much performs as expected. I think it's perfect for matching movies. The clarity is very good. I wish the clarity of the fonts was just a little bit better, when I connect my laptop, but it's still very usable. I really don't have any major complaints. Especially, for this price. I have already recommended the projector to all my friends who wanted to get a new flat screen monitor until they saw my projector setup.

Good picture, some issues other places
I got this from amazon warehouse (used/refurb/returned) , I do love to purchase items that way. with that said....Good - the picture really is good, actually shockingly good. way more then i expected from this unit. The controls are pretty straight forward, nothing too weird.Issues: - it didn't come with a remote, it was suppose to be complete, but it wasn't, Amazon, like always, took care of me here. thanks to them. -This is a smart projector, meaning it runs an android OS, so you can download apps. meaning you don't need a separate input device. My android app isn't working, the manufacture told me to send it back to amazon. I may. But i have plugged a Roku into it, which works just fine.- the speakers are total garbage. in their defense (pyle), who would actually use the built in speakers, built in usually aren't very good.

Great value for the price
Pro's: Price. For what you pay, you get a lot of nice features. Yes there are better projectors out there for much more money but for entry level this was pretty inexpensive."Smart" features/Android operating system: We only use Netflix, Hulu etc. and do not subscribe to a cable or satellite company so having the ability to stream these was a big plus. The wifi is nice and was easy to set up. It seems to pick up the signal pretty well. Our router is downstairs across the house and the signal is still pretty strong (some of this depends on your wifi equipment of course but we don't have anything special) I also love the fact that I can download apps from the play store. Even use the internet if so desired. Bluetooth works great too. For those wondering, it can send bluetooth signals to audio equipment.Picture quality: It isn't a theatre quality machine, but then again it doesn't cost the same either. I have it set up in a dark bedroom and it is plenty bright/clear for our needs. I would not suggest trying to watch it with more then minimal ambient light, leave that trick to the more expensive projectors. But for me at least, part of the enjoyment of watching a movie or TV is the theatre experience, which includes a dark room.Cons: The sound could be crisper. It has plenty of volume but the distortion at higher decibels is noticeable. I fixed this by purchasing a separate sound bar with sub-woofer. It is wireless and pairs easily.Instructions: They are pretty barebones but the projector isn't all that complicated.Remote: Like many reviewers, I found the remote too basic, especially when using the android features. I fixed that with a keyboard and wireless mouse and it works great.Lack of better connections: I was dismayed to see that it did not offer more advanced audio connections like optical. The RCA is ok, but not optional. I would have hoped that since it offered a more advanced operating system, they would have stepped up the connections a bit. It can be overcome of course but not at additional expense.BTW, this is not a short throw projector. I have it at 12ft from where it is located to the screen and the picture is about 8ft by 5ft but if I had the room it could be larger. When all is said and done, the quality and value are there. Very happy with my purchase. The features it offers outweigh the con's for me. Pictures were taken 5 minutes after initial set (yes the screen is not centered I know) The blue lines on the Star Trek image are part of the movie itself as well as Lt. Uhura being out of focus.

I would not recommend this projector
I would not recommend this projector. We bought mainly for doing outdoor movie nights with the kids. Thought the Android system with WIFI would be great to stream Netflix. Basically is a useless feature, Netflix never would load up and there was no way to update the app. Then I thought, well, I can just put movies on a USB memory stick and plug into the USB port. Basically another useless feature. The projector can not handle the file size to project a 1080P movie. You would think that a 1080P projector with that feature would be able to handle that. So I basically had to connect a external source (Chromecast or BluRay) via HDMI cable. We also had a very bad dark/smoke color spot develop on about 1/3rd of the display. Looks like a burn on the LCD. Contacted Pyle, was only 2 months off warranty and used about 20 times. They said I could fill out a form with my credit card info and send the project in for repair, so they could basically charge me what ever for the repairs. I said screw it, will use it for now, but only got a few more months out of it before it wouldn't turn on. Did the typical unplug and plug in. Started up like normal, but wouldn't get pass green android loading screen. Fans did not turn on like normal and after a few minutes the projector was really hot and clicked off. Has done this every time I try to power it up now.I would say there is only 200 hours on this projector and it is useless now, so that was about 1% of its 20,000 hour bulb life.... When it did work, it was a very nice picture, but that was about it. All other features are junk.

Performs exactly as I expected.
I spent some serious time researching projector's to find the right product for my new home entertainment space. Since this would be my first projector, I really wanted to spend wisely (which included not investing a terrible amount of money). My other criteria was high lumens, trustable brand, and "Smart" capable. The Pyle projector fit the bill and after installation is working great! No issues, no problems, and performs exactly as expected.

The picture is great and big enough but I can not say the same for the sound and there is no user manuel in the box. Good purchase.

Excellent
Awesome, works perfectly. I saw another review where the guy said he couldn't the WiFi connection but I had no problem finding it in the android section of the projector.
