Doorbell Transformer, 16V, 30VA Comptible with Ring Pro,Nest Hello

Removed a very old transformer. Upgraded with this unit so I can have enough power for my security camera. Bought one from Simplisafe. Worked perfect! Easy to install.

Doorbell transformer sends more power for doorbell and camera so when you push the doorbell button it will work and not do anything when pushed. Kind of heavy but sign of good construction. Easy to follow wiring instructions. At a great price. Would highly recommend this doorbell transformer. If doorbell chime is old would highly recommend ordering Newhouse CHM1 with this doorbell transformer. They really work with ring cameras doorbell systems.

Worked well enough but minus 1 star because the set screw for the low voltage wire was stripped to I had to get a replacement. Super easy but still unfortunate to have to remove it and install a new one.

For the money this is a high quality transformer which has been delivered on time and in great condition. I have load tested this transformer for a one hour period and its voltage output and current carrying capabilities are spot on. The mechanical noise is very low, its output is clean A/C @16volts, and it doesn't produce a great deal of heat. It should provide for a long service life.

This is a very good product at a good price.If you need to get a larger VA transformer for your Ring Doorbell, this one will do the job.

Keeps breaking the second one in 3 months...and my return window closed like 3 weeks ago....thats how long the second one lasted smh. Irritating. Waste of time effort and NOW money

I replaced the dumb doorbell push-button with the Nest Hello. The camera worked but the existing Nutone door chime didn't. I did a workaround by using a Google Nest Mini speaker to announce "someone is at the door." That was okay until the wifi is interrupted, which happened a lot more often than electrical power interruption.I knew the issue had to do with the step-down transformer (which was underpowered). It was rated at 16V / 10VA. I could probably have replaced it with a 24 V / 40 VA transformer, but I wanted just enough juice and not anything more that might overpower (or damage) the Nest or Nutone.After many considerations, I settled for this transformer. The installation couldn't be easier. I didn't even bother to pull the circuit breaker (which I don't recommend but I am an experienced electrical tinkler).It works perfectly. Now I hear the Nutone door chime and the Mini speaker announcement simultaneously when the wifi is good, and I hear the Nutone chime when the wifi is offline.
