Frigidaire EFR176 1.6 cu. ft. Retro Bar Fridge with Side Bottle Opener (Blue)

My soon-to-be 13 years old granddaughter requested a mini fridge for her birthday. She originally showed me one that was really just a cooler than only held six cans. This was not going to be good enough for what she wanted since she wanted to hold many snacks, drinks, and Cesar salads (of all items!). I set out to find her a proper, but pretty, true mini fridge, and found this retro Frigidaire with freezer with plenty of space, in the Coral color. I trust this brand from experience! It has so much storage for a mini fridge, and it was not too expensive for quality. My granddaughter was so excited that she squealed! She has since filled it with beverages, snacks, and even popsicles. She told me a few days later that all of her items are cold, and the popsicles are perfectly frozen. A win win all around.

I purchased this fridge for my classroom and it is totally beautiful. The pictures don't do it justice. It gets really cold and I hear no sound. I'm so glad that I purchased this cute fridge for my class.

I really love this retro fridge for my classroom. It's very cool looking. I don't need a lot of room, so it's fine for my bottles of water and my lunch. It wouldn't really hold much more than that. It does keep everything very nice and cold without freezing things unnecessarily. The only wonky thing about it is the handle. I don't know if it's supposed to click into place and be used, or if it's just decorative. Mine didn't click all the way in, and will fall off if your pull it too hard (basically at all). It's not a deal breaker because this fridge is otherwise exactly what I wanted.

I bought mine on August 2, 2021, and it is still the best little mini fridge. I just love the color. It is so quiet too, which is nice since it is right next to me on my desk. This little fridge helps me a lot since I have some back issues, and I don't need to get up and down a lot to get ice water or something to eat. I can just pack my little blue fridge with what I need and be set for the day.

Okay, let's start with the positives... This mini fridge is so unbelievably cute! I wanted a fridge to use mainly for my skincare products but I wanted one that was bigger than a typical skincare fridge, had a freezer, looked cute, and could also hold a few beverages to keep in my beauty room. I fell in love with the idea of a retro-style mini fridge and thought this one would be perfect. I saw a few reviews that mentioned it arriving damaged but figured I'd take a chance because shipping companies damage things occasionally so I didn't think that meant there was a problem with the actual product. HOWEVER, when this arrived, it was very clear that the damage was NOT from the shipping process but from the way it was packaged. The fridge was in an appliance box where the bottom was a piece of styrofoam and then a box was slid down overtop (no cardboard was under the styrofoam, and the whole thing was strapped together. Because there was no support under the styrofoam bottom, the strap crushed the styrofoam and crumpled the bottom of the fridge door to the point that it interfered with the seal. Additionally, there were dents on 3 other sides of the fridge, even though there was no damage to the box in those areas. Then, when I contacted amazon for a return and they wanted me to keep and use the fridge and receive a partial refund for the "cosmetic damage". I had to push for a full refund and then figure out a way to package this fridge back up without a machine to strap it shut so I could return it. Anyway, if you see the number of reviews claiming this item arrived damaged, BELIEVE THEM! I'm so disappointed that a company like Frigidaire doesn't have appropriate packaging for this item. It would have been exactly what I was looking for and looked so cute in my beauty room if they would have just packaged it in a way that would have protected it instead of damaging it.

I really want to give this fridge 5 stars. I love the color, I love the retro style and so far it keeps things nice and cold... but that's all the nice things I can say about it.From the minute I installed the fridge in my office, I started noticing popping noises coming from the speakers in my office and also from the surround system in my living room. I looked into it and thats when I learned that the "retro" nature of this fridge doesn't stop at just it's appearance... the electrical equipment powering this fridge is SERIOUSLY outdated. The EMIs this little guy puts out is insane! If you're putting this near modern tech you're probably going to run into similar problems. I bought an EMI filter (which isnt cheap) to mitigate this issue, but that's when I encountered the next issue...Every time the compressor cycles on theres a loud, obnoxious, metallic "clink" noise. Again, this is in my office, so while I'm working, every 5, 10, or 15 minutes I'll hear this annoying sound.It's crazy that im still giving it 3 stars... but thats how much I like it. If they modernized the tech or even just took $25-$30 off AND were transparent about the issues it would be 5 stars.

Such a quiet refrigerator, perfect size to put my protein drinks and soda in it.
