My doctor recommended I take a selenium supplement (I have hashimoto's), so of course I googled natural ways to get selenium and one pill is about a 1/1 ratio to a Brazil nut. They didn't have any at my local grocery store so I ordered these and they are really good quality. I eventually found some at another local grocery store for the same price more or less, but these are honestly way better and fresher. They make the grocery store ones taste stale. I made some dietary changes and eat 1 or 2 of these a day and a month later, all my blood work has improved. Not only are they good for you, but really they are worth the money just on taste and freshness alone. I won't be buying any from the grocery store for sure.

I ordered this bag of organic, whole, raw and unsalted Brazil nuts earlier this month. I refrigerate the reclosable bag of nuts after I snack on about 5 each day. There are about 15 servings per bag! They have remained fresh and so yummy! 😋 These expire 4/2020. They are certified USDA Organic and Non GMO verified. Packaged in the USA in a peanut-free facility that processes tree nuts. They are an easy and excellent source of magnesium. The bag states that Brazil nuts are one of the richest known natural food sources of selenium. Dr. Michael Greger says the same thing. Just 5 nuts provides 18% of the daily value of magnesium and 70% of selenium. Only 2g of carbs and 2g of fiber. My only complaint is that it is challenging for me to not eat the whole bag of nuts in one sitting!

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism and I was told that Brazilian nuts are good for it so I ordered these. I ordered them based on the reviews and so happy I did. I was buying the store bought nuts but my goodness those are so dried out and nasty! I just got these in the mail and tried them, they are actually really tasty. They are definitely fresh and nothing like store bought! I have trusted the now brand for years and so happy I can continue to do so! I would recommend these Brazilian nuts if your searching for a good brand. Really, these are great!

NOW Foods is my go to brand when it comes to nuts and seeds, and these Brazil nuts were OK. Brazil nuts are full of healthy fats, selenium and magnesium, and although taste wise they are not my favorite nuts, they are a nutritional powerhouse.Because they are raw and unsalted, they don't pack too much flavor. They make a tastier snack if I eat them along with something saltier or add my own salt. The flavor is there, but it's not rich; the macadamia nuts from NOW Foods are way more tasty and rich in flavor.As all Brazil nuts, they have a slightly dry crunchiness, lacking the buttery texture and taste of high fat nuts.The bag wasn't the freshest possible, but it's good quality for something ordered online and delivered via Amazon. I keep all my nuts in the freezer, keeps them at peak quality for longer.The nuts vary from small to medium-large, 5 of them rarely equal 19g, so a scale is better for portion control.While I love I can recycle the NOW Foods bags through Terracycle, the quality of the ziploc is bad. It's not sturdy, it separates easily from the bag, so I either transfer the nuts to another container or use a bag clip to seal it.

Opened it up and tried one and was happy to find they were fresh and very crunchy. I have bought other brands that were stale and no flavor. These are perfect!
