Really nice shoes.
Nice and sturdy - very comfortable shoes. I've used them in a few harsh environments already [Iceland Glacier hiking being one]. Love the shoes.I have to minus a star as a small portion of the bottom outer sole is coming loose after the first couple of weeks. I am hoping I can fix this so it doesn't get worse. Other than that, these shoes are so comfortable and sturdy they really add to your confidence when going out into the harsh weather for work of hiking.Update: Sole does not have an issue. Turns out it was a slice in the tread from hiking/working. Added the star back. I’d definitely buy another pair when the time comes.

Solid Hiking/Trekking Shoes
Whether hiking any trail or bushwacking off into no man's land, these shoes are my go to! The first thing I noticed when trying them on is the supportive yet minimal enough sole for all day hiking. They would do well as a bouldering shoe and look like a bulkier climbing shoe. Despite having an abnormally skinny foot, they fit well. These babies seem well made, and if they hold up for several years I will be loyal to the Scarpa brand. If purchased at the local REI, they surely would have cost ~ 25% more than the price here, and would still be a reasonable buy! Don't sleep on these hiking shoes

Good if used what they're intended for
This is what they looked like after 2 seasons of roofing. They were nice as approach shoes. Good for metal roofing, but not as durable as I would have liked. You can see the seam blowouts. I bought these for use while metal roofing and as an approach shoe while rock climbing. Overall a well made shoe. The rubber is sticky for scrambling on rocks and easy graded climbs. For work, they have good edging support and the durability of the rubber seems pretty good. The tongues do slip to either side at first, but now they seem to want to stay almost in place.

Lightweight but very well built
First off the shoe is very comfortable. Add to that the great craftsmanship, a vibram sole, and the color orange and it is my go to every day shoe. Surprisingly lighter than my old Asics. My only negative is it is a touch narrow in the toes so go a half size up if concerned. Otherwise I'm very happy and look towards a long service life.

Nice quality and good looking
I wanted a stylish light hiking shoe that wasn't as bulky and clunky as most that are currently for sale. I have been very pleased with these shoes as they fit the bill perfectly. They are unique looking and stylish enough that I can wear them pretty much anywhere with casual dress. On the trail they are sturdy and well-padded. Really, I couldn't be happier and would recommend these shoes to anyone.

Lightweight, comfortable, and keep out moisture
I live in the U.S. Pacific Northwest, which is cold and wet in the winter months. These shoes have proved comfortable for wear outside in varied weather conditions. They are lighter and more comfortable then the three other pairs of Scarpa's that I own, and have quickly become my favorite shoes. This brand is well made, and the Crux is no exception. I've had a pair of Scarpa shoes last five years worn daily, so rest assured the shoes will be a good investment.

Watch out for the Sizing! It's not accurate!
I already own the previous version of Scarpa Crux's and wanted to replace them, because it's a great shoe. I always wear a US 10.5, and that's what I have in my old Crux's, which fit absolutely prefect. So I ordered a US 10.5. But when they arrived they looked and fit small. Small enough to not work for me with my toes jammed to the front. I looked at the tounge, and it read Size EU 43 and 1/2, and US 10 and 1/3! 10 and a third! I then noticed on my order it said EU 43.5. But, here's the catch, the sales page here shows US sizes. And the sizing chart does not show a EU 43.5!! So, it's just a trick I fell for. And with the US size 11 sold out, I have to return the shoe and get to pay $5 shipping! GET YOUR SIZING CHART RIGHT! Also, it's Scarpa's fault for changing up how they do sizing.

Best Hiking shoes I have owned.
I love these Scarpa Crux hikers. I wish they made them in more colors; I'd add a second pair.

Amazing quality
Great approach shoes that require no bedding in. Very comfortable and supportive without being too stiff. very grippy sole in wet or dry. Vibram sole. I have had other pairs of the same in other colours. Can't recommend enough. Worth paying the extra compared to cheaper brands.

Last for years
I wear these most days either to walk the dog in some quite unforgiving terrain or to do any outdoor activities. Well made product that even though I use and abuse them they are still in awesome condition even the soles show little sign of wear. Come out like brand new from the washing machine.

my 5th pair
super comfortable out of the box, and perfect for scrambling/approach shoes. even in wet, they grip, (unlike the Scarpa Vortex which are terrible and more expensive). If I had a gripe about them, they tend to wear through the heel on the inside, but not enough for me to change shoes - these are my everydayers and have been for years
