A bit crude, but function as needed. It looks like someone took closed bottom trays and took a dremmel to them, slits to let water drain are crude at best. That said, they perform well, I will get many seasons of use out of these, and I guess I give the seller credit, because they are very well priced for the quantity you get. They do serve the purpose well, and you can buy additional tags at reasonable cost if you start a lot of varieties (as I do) using this kit.In spite of my minor gripe, I do recommend this.

Perfect starters for seeds
I originally planted my seedlings in peat pot, egg cartons, or dixie cups. All were really problematic, though the egg cartons fared the best. The peat pots were drying out the soil too much, the egg cartons were too small, and the dixie cups are grew terrible mold. I ordered these trays and transplanted what I could, and they are not only the perfect size but also super easy to water. They don't loose moisture like the peat pots do and they just do their job perfectly and are reusable.

Perfect seed starters
Perfect seed germinates. Has small slits at the bottom so water can up or drain out. Can be reused but plastic is on the thin side so some have cracked. Other than some cracking they have stayed sturdy and I have used most two to three times this season.

Just what I needed. I had eight old 72 cell holder I had bought over the years and the base and clear tops were just fine but I needed new cell to plant my seeds in so I tried these cells. They fit the old containers perfectly so for very little money I had eight new plant starting containers. I only used three but that is plenty of plants for my garden.

Tiny, wasn't expecting that, my own fault, not reading carefully, but they are a thin plastic... one time use, maybe two if you're really gentle. We grow a veggie garden every year, so I was looking for something sturdier for multiple uses.

Perfect for germination and seedlings
These work wonderfully for starting my seeds, especially with the slits in the bottom for bottom watering. I have strawberries and onions growing in these now that will be potted up soon, and peppers and tomatoes germinating to go under the lights soon. Love these as the starting place for my indoor seed starting.

Perfect fit for Rapid Rooter plugs
These work perfectly in a small seedling starter. They hold Rapid Rooter plugs perfectly, so I can clip a branch off a particularly productive tomato plant and clone it in a small starter greenhouse. Since they are in sheets of 6 cells, I don't have to mess with a bulky 72 cell tray.
