Great looking piece of furniture, strong and well built.
This av rack looks great and is very well built. The company did a great job of packaging it for shipping. Its super easy to build, although they could send some directions on how to best install the rear grate for the wires. My emotiva amp fits perfectly on the bottom shelf.

BUYERS BEWARE
Buyers beware: both product AND seller Cymax. Product is esthetically pleasing, but very unstable and unsuitable for any TV that has swivel base - not even in a room that is absent from kids and pets. Seller Cymax had me to return the item to the same return address twice at my cost (luckily Amazon picked up the shipping tab for the second time.) Even after item was received Cymax did not issue my refund until Amazon got involved. Stay away from this seller Cymax, anything they sell on Amazon.

Everything I want in a AV rack!
Awesome VTI rack. High quality, well made and exactly what I wanted. Very sturdy and heavy duty. I can see why others gave it some negative reviews, but ita heavy and the tempered glass is thick. This will not move, there is a back piece for you to screw down to hold it in place for more sturdiness. I didnt bother for now. Hope this review helps others on their decision. Worth the price.

Good value on a great looking rack
I have been looking for over a year for an attractive solid rack for high-end audio equipment. I found several that were very good but the price knocked me back on my can. I found plenty that were affordable but the quality was sub-par with poor sonic isolation and the looks ranged from cheap to quasi-Frankenstein. Then I checked good old Amazon and found this one. Sheeeezam! It looked really good and the price was very decent. The approach used for sonic isolation seems to work pretty well also. The cons? Well, the instructions for assembly suck a bit and each level of the rack really just stacks up on the level under it with only the screws in the back panel to hold the rack together. I have some very heavy equipment so the sheer weight on the rack makes it solid. It would be nice if they would design it where each level is directly connected to the one below it instead of just in the back. But I am perfectly happy with this rack and would order a second one if the need should arise.

Downright Dangerous. Engineering Train Wreck Waiting to Happen.
Bought 4 audio racks. Was excited about the VTI because it looked like a cool concept. Started out well enough, until I got about half way through assembly, then tragedy struck, twice. Here's the rub; The shelves are free standing, and stack sequentially. The only thing that holds them in place is gravity. The top and bottom shelves clamp to a back plate, sort of. The back plate is flexible and the mount points are not particularly well designed fasteners. The big problem is that all four bottom corners come to a steel point. They are sharp, and slip off the shelf below if displaced for any reason. If you are unlucky enough to cause any of the upper shelves to slide slightly off center, all the shelves collapse into a pile. OK, that's 12 stainless steel points falling onto the plate glass shelf beneath it. It's really frightening when it happens, and trying to catch the falling shelves just accelerates the collapse sequence.Once assembled, this thing is like a really dangerous metal and glass house of cards. Don't even try to scooch it over, even 1/2 inch because it can and will collapse. This is one of the most poorly designed and dangerous piece of consumer goods I have ever seen. It is certainly the only piece of audio gear that has ever made me bleed. If you have kids, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't set one of these things up in your house. If you don't mind trips to the emergency room, have at it.By the way, the shelf points are completely useless in this design. Acoustic isolation for electronic components is a failed concept to begin with. Duh.The BLG Audio Video Rack is a shameful piece of engineering that needs to be recalled and redesigned with some consumer safety in mind.Avoid at all costs.
