Doesn't stop our dog from licking front/rear paws nor hindquarters, so the effectiveness depends on where the wound is. Hence it is OK to use when you are with the dog, but its back to the cone at other times. Note the inflation port is the self sealing type so you have to squeeze or bite the port before you can blow air in.

My Dog had an operation to remove a lump on her shoulder, she's an anxious dog and the usual buster collar stressed her out so much, she wouldn't eat or drink and was continually panting, she is still healing after 6 weeks so this collar has been a god send, she immediately relaxed, she loves to sleep with it and she can eat and drink, no problem. It stopped her from licking her wound, although some people have said their dog could still get at there back end, I'm not sure my dog would have tried.It was easy to inflate, although I used an electric pump and it is easy to remove for cleaning. I would highly recommend.

Despite studying the measurement guide before ordering, this only just fit our dog and was probably not that comfortable. We did try to keep it on him for a while, but he managed to puncture it ensuring that he could no longer wear it!We ended up putting a sock on his sore paw until it healed instead. If we need anything like this again I would ignore the measurements and order a much bigger size.

I was a little doubtful that our Husky would keep this on, but surprisingly she soon gave up trying to get it off after a few distraction techniques. However the real reason we bought it was to prevent her licking a surgical wound on her hind leg, as the standard cone is a pain, always getting caught in doorways etc. It was soon clear that she can easily reach her wound with this product in place, so for us a complete waste of money. I think it's a bit pointless unless your dog has a wound at the front half of their body, or they have a short neck with limited movement. For our dog, it's back to the cone!

Bought as an alternative to the cone after my dogs operation. At first he was able to pull it off so we then attached it to his collar and it stayed on. Poor thing had to wear it for a week. He slept and rested very well with it on. Would definitely recommend it. Good price too.

Thought this was the solution to our lurcher pup removing the bandage from his leg, but unfortunately it doesn't work. It's a pity as it looks much more comfortable than a conventional cone, but it's only taken him 2 days to figure out how to still get to his leg. Wish I'd got a regular cone in the first place

Great product, easy to put on and The dog liked it so much he used it as a pillow!The dog it was used for it a corgi/golden retriever cross and therefore has short legs so the collar came off for his walks otherwise he tripped over it.But it worked perfectly great value for money and fantastic quality

Looked comfortable and easy to put on but despite being the right size I wasn’t sure if he still couldn’t get to his tail
