They fit in a tight little counterbore
I was able to use these on my alloy rims where there was a small counterbore on the exterior of the rims. Other stewms would not fit due to the bigger nut and washer. I am having to use these metal units because I am using exterior stem mount TPMS sensors on a trailer and the standard valve stems are spinning outward, rubbing the rims, and separating after long trips due to flexxing. I have not taken any long trips since installing these , but I am confident they will stand up to the centrifical forces.

New Tire, New Valve Stem
So many folks don't install a new valve stem. Bad practice! Old dried out cracked valve stems are often the cause of a flat tire. These are great, fit my BMW Oilhead.
