South: The Illustrated Story of Shackleton's Last Expedition 1914-1917

Fascinating story. A bit on the technical side perhaps, but that is part of what I enjoy about it.

This is a much higher quality edition (Voyageur Press) than the hardcopy (on-demand printed "independently published") version I originally purchased.

Love it, another great perspective on an unbelievable journey.

Shackleton’s expedition to Antarctica is documented in this book, which I am still reading. I have read another account of this story, so I anticipate an amazing story of disaster, survival, human determination, and ultimate triumph in the second half of the book.

Its a great book but,,it is basically his day by day diary of the trip. Not so much of a 'story' Don't get me wrong, great book,

Beautiful illistrations and first hand accounts. My husband has not finished it yet--as there is so much to it.

Some small print size as everyone says, but not impossible. Lots to read, so haven’t finished it yet.

1 star removed due to the frustrating lack of map to provide some references to the description of places throughout the book and very very small font! Otherwise, it is a great book to learn about the history of the South Pole.

Too small characters

Hermoso libro, muy bien diseñado y editado, pero con la única desventaja de que tiene la letra muy pequeña, hermosas fotos pero cuesta trabajo leerlo.
