This mala took some time to get, but it was well worth the wait. This high-quality mala for this price is really remarkable. Each stone is knotted in place and the guru bead as well as the tree of life charm are off excellent quality. The lava beads are also of outstanding quality and none are chipped. This mala is long, 43 inches and is long enough to wear doubled around my neck, showing off both the guru bead and the tree of life charm. The silk tassel is well made and measures 8 cm. It comes wrapped so that it stays smooth and attractive. This is a high-quality mala for a low price! I am going to order more from this wonderful maker!This lovely mala is made in China.UPDATE: I just ordered another mala, because the quality of the first one was so impressive! First off these beads are beautiful. I bought the Tiger beads and use them to pray everyday. It comes in a nice box with a little bag to put the beads in. I counted the beads and there are indeed 108 as advertised.The first time I purchased it, I showered with the beads on my neck and must have scrubbed too hard because the tassel came off immediately. Very poorly constructed.I got an immediate replacment and sent out the defective beads at my local Whole Foods, so 5 stars for customer service.I haven't showered with the new beads and the tassel has stayed in tact for a few months now. I have banged the beads around a bit and they haven't broken the mala which has been a problem with past beads I have purchased. Each bead has a knot in between so even if they are busted, all the beads won't fall out which has happened to me in the past.So far so good. Can't complain about looks. feel, delivery time, price or customer service. They feel comfortable in my hands when praying. Just be careful with the tassel.

That this necklace is available at this price is a kindness. Like many higher end necklaces, it is knotted between each bead. The beads have an ideal weight - a perfect heft. It’s black agate, not lightweight wooden beads. I intend to gift it to a close friend who will probably look at me and say “Really?!” -and not in a sarcastic way, for she has good taste. My smile is my answer. Can’t wait!

This necklace is beautiful and the beads are good quality. The tassle is garbage and fell apart the first time I wore it. I repaired it but the threads are so silky, they slide out of the knot making it look messy. I'm trying to figure out a way to replace the tassle since I can no longer return the item.
