Installed on 2015 Sprinter Van Low Roof - Slight Modifications
I purchased this ladder and with some small modifications am very happy. In total, it cost me about $30 extra but well worth the cost savings. The ladder is for a low roof sprinter van and I have to pull myself up to meet the bottom rung.In terms of modifications - as purchased, the ladder has to sit all the way to the end of the door (towards the middle). This blocked my back-up camera so I cut off about 2 inches from both ends. This didnt shorten the ladder, just made the curved-angle-outward less. This allowed me to move the ladder away from the middle and not to block my back-up camera. I then sprayed truck bed liner on it to make it black and it worked fine. I did have to find replacement "Metal Threaded Star Type Inserts" to get the top hooks back onto the ladder. Very happy with it, looks great, sturdy, and very affordable.

Well made and sturdy, modifications required
After reading all the reviews about what this fits and doesn't, I decided that since no-one said it didi't fit a Chevy van and the picture to the left shows it on a Chevy van, there was a good chance that I wouldn't have to make modifications as others had to do for their Fords and Dodges. No such luck as I had to shorten the length by 1-3/4" and then "sleeve" it back together. Spent about an hour or so making the modifications, a task that would have been much easier and more precise with a drill press. However, a hack saw, hand drill and vise worked pretty well. It's back together, and it looks and works great even with the bolts securing the internal sleeves I made showing, The modified ladder is rock solid on the back of the van and it really beats the step ladder I used to use to get on the roof.

Great for a 2009 Chevy express cargo van.
Ok, all I am going to say is anyone who has a hard time installing this on a Chevy 3500 express cargo van (mine 2009) should not be doing any skilled labor job. I installed this in 10 minutes by myself.1st hang it on the door you desire.2nd attach the top screw on the side of the ladder on the highest point of the door.3rd Line it up by site directly below the top you just installed (double check it is parallel to the door).4th put in 2 top screws of the 4 required for now.5th Again eye level it to the bottom across from the one just secured (double check for level to the door not with a level) and once satisfied put all 4 screws.6th add the other 2 screws to the other side.7th stand on the ladder and add the last screw to the top hole on the last side, it will line up just fine and no tubing bender or other tools are required. You now have a great new ladder for reaching the ladder rack above or what ever it is you needed it for.Seriously it is that easy and mine is solid as can be!!!

It fits 2010 Chevy Express van
Well this certainly does fit my 2010 Chevy Express van 2500, and if it's the same body style which Chevy has not changed in years will absolutely fit NO PROBLEM, but yes as you install it being the top of the Chevy doors are not perfectly horizontal the ladder will ne on a slight angle. If your oknwith that fine but I'm not and you can easily tweak the upper right hook of the ladder up 1/4" that's all it needs and bam your ladder is now perfectly vertical to the door seam as you can see in my van. Take a pipe with 1 1/2" hole sticking inside the hook lay the ladder down on the ground on top of the cardboard that it came in and apply ALITTLE pressure and open the hook. Donit a couple times if need the ladder will bend jus go slow and you'll see what a great fit. Thanks hope this helps potential lookers and keep in mind IT DOES FIT Chevy Express van

Fit my 2002 Chevy Express with slight modification
Followed advice by other reviewer by "bending" the right vertical bar (I mounted ladder on left rear door". I changed up the procedure by removing the right top hook (it's held in place by one screw) and used a one inch pipe as leverage and SLOWLY, MULTIPLE TIMES, bent the bar until I got the look I was going for so the ladder is in line with the vertical door edge. After getting the correct fitment, then of course drill the holes to mount. The top left hook will sit a little off due to the curve of the door but then again, this ain't no Ford or Dodge.I was going to include a picture but my new Windows 11 is a PITA!

Why didn't I get this years ago?
This is one of those "Why didn't I do this before" ideas. As a contractor I am often having to strap items to my racks. I wont go into how I used to get up there but at 55 years I am not as spry as before. This ladder mounted perfectly on my 1994 Ford E350 and my 2008 Ford E250. I did put some rubber washers under the metal flanges to keep the paint from getting scratched.I mounted it on the left rear door and have not looked back. So easy to get up and down now and it is quite strong. I have loaded 16' pieced of composite decking and even at 200 lbs (my fat ass) and the decking, the ladder didn't flint-ch.When shipped it has a slight bend in it to conform to the profile of the van doors. If it does not fit perfectly just mount it anyway. As you tighten the fasteners to the door the ladder will flex and conform to the profile.Stop taking risks, get this ladder.
