No. Your own password if the only way to open and reset the key safe box. The combination lock box will be of no use if password forgotten. Please DO remember your own combination. We suggest writing down or taking a pic of the new code each time after your setting.

Q: Can it be removed once fixed to a railing

The mounting holes are inside, so the screws or bolts will be accessible when the unit is opened.

Q: Can you install without screwing it onto the wall?

To wall mount the key safe inside with screws is considering its security.
