Huanyu LH8 Electric Heat Hot Cutter Knife Cutting Tool 600° C for Sponge Wallcloth Cloth Rope Webbing Foam (110V, 100W+4 Blades)

I needed a hot knife to help make ports in a project enclosure. I bought a much less expensive one before the Huanyu that did not do the job; there was poor contact between the blade the heater so the blade didn't heat up efficiently. The Huanyu has several set screws that lock the knife tools solidly in place - they heat up to correct temperatures and cut the plastic project box easily. This was quite a bit more expensive but it got the job done. Very satisfied.

Funcional solo que al trabajarlo en medianas jornadas se llega a calentar todo el aparato ocupando guante para temperatura ya que no es tolerable trabajarlo al tacto. Otra es que la navaja se enfría con cortes largos esto es obvio pero hace que tengas que subir la temperatura para eliminar esta deficiencia por lo cual se calienta todo el aparato. Esperemos ver cuánto tiempo trabaja.

I bought this hot knife to make many cuts in the landscape cloth for my 140 x 30 ft greenhouse that grows hot peppers. it cuts and fuses the edges beautifully with d shaped fabric knife and fabric stabilising foot on the high setting. be sure not to rush the longer cut or it won't fuse in some spots and you could get fraying.. i love this because using scissors leaves loose ends that will continually fray when moved or if there is a breeze through the place, creating horrible trip hazards. looking forward to buying the attachment to use while routering out a hollow in foam pads for under our hydroponic tomatoes.
