Works perfect, does the job!
Fortress Mount TV Wall Mount for 40-75" TVs up to 165 lbs with 9-feet Braided HDMI Cable I bought my first flat panel and needed something to hang it up on the my bedroom wall. I debated between a full articulating mount or just a "closest to the wall" mount that has tilt. Ended up with this one since I was afraid the articulating ones limited my ability to center the TV based on where my wall studs were.Packaging:Mount arrived quick, within a day of ordering. Box was smaller than I thought, but everything pieced together fine. All items were packaged well and nothing was missing.Install:I'm not a handy person, but got the mount installed fine. Putting the pieces together was easy and fairly quick. I actually spent more time centering up and finding the studs than screwing them in. probably the biggest issue is getting the lag screws in. First, instructions called for a 3/8" socket....none of my 3/8" fit...had to take it a step larger for some reason. Ended up just using a screw driver to screw it into the wall. I didn't quick, like the bubble level that came with it since it seemed to be slightly off depending where I put it on the wall mount. I ended up using my own level. Hanging the TV up was a breeze.Function:So far, the mounts seem very sturdy and holds up my 55" 60+ pound TV just fine. TV looks great and nice to get it off the floor or off the dresser. There were only 2 minor issues that I see with this mount:1) I didn't like how long the string releases were on the mounts. The strings hung low, past the bottom of the television. I tied them up so they were just out of sight.2) the tilt adjustment was too hard to get to and set. There just wasn't enough room to fit my hand in there to turn the knobs. I had to pull the release and tilt the TV out so I can tighten them. This isn't a big deal since I'm just doing it once.Overall, I'd recommend the mount. It's sturdy and economical. There is room to adjust so the TV can be centered.Update 8/18/2017:I just wanted to add that the HDMI cable that came with this TV mount was not able to pass a 4K signal from my Xbox One S to my 4K TV. I tried many different settings on the television and was not able to get the Xbox and TV to work happily in 4K. My last resort was to grab a beefier (but older) HDMI cable that I was using on my old 1080p television. Voila! Now my Xbox and TV was able to be setup in 4K! So beware....if you aren't getting 4K, then it could be the cable that came with this mount.

An Excellent, Sturdy TV mount
I have installed a number of monitor and TV mounts. I have tried desk mounts and various style wall and most leave me wondering who decided what to put in the box. Most of the time I have to believe the seller didn't try using the products after they were ready for market. The Fortress Mount TV wall mount is not one of those products. This wall mount supports 200*400 to 600*600 VESA mounts. I found the packing to be deceptively compact for that you get in the box. This unit is broken down into its component pieces which helps account for the excellent packaging but everything is organized and is easily recognizable in the instructions. Which brings me to the next bright spot. The instructions are very (VERY) clear and its easy to match the kits parts with the illustrations. The instructions are written clearly, in English for my purchase with no typos. no strange language and no wasted words. The instructions tell you how to install for various walls, wood, brick, cement etc and which parts to use. The kits also includes lots of screws to fit various TVs. One of the biggest gripes I have is VESA is standard but mounting holes on TVs are not so much....The best part, for me, is the fact that brackets attach to your TV then hook onto the frame. When mounting a bigger TV this makes things much easier that trying to mount a tv onto the back plate of mount already attached to the wall. Granted this is recommended for two people but I don't always have an extra pair of hands around when I need to mount or move a TV.If you know your walls, you really need to mount this to studs or a hard surface to support your TV. Then installation should be relatively simple using standing tools. If you are looking for a sturdy, well made and complete wall mount kit that will have your TV up and running in no time, this one will not disappoint. Small package but can really hold up a TV
This particular mount works really well. I was surprised how small the package it came in was. After assembling the mount which was fairly simple it works really well. Again the assemble is very easy to put together but when putting up a bigger TV please take precaution and get help to mount the TV to the mount. It does come with a nice HDMI cable which works pretty well and has a fairly good length to them. There is also a nice ring at the bottom that allows for the mount to tell you whether or not the TV is leveled or not so you do not have to have the leveler. It has a really strong grip and for best usage I recommend you find the stude in the wall. With any kind of TV mount, if it is removed there will be marks that develop overtime on the wall. This mount can be moved forward and back a few degrees but this mount does not move left to right so be aware of that when placing this tv on the wall. It can hold up to 75 inch tv which is great but again for best use find the stud in the wall. I highly recommend this mount and the cable it comes with. They work great!
