Q: how will the mildots work on my 7mm rem mag if i sight dead on at 100 yds??

No way in the world would I put a $50 scope on a 7 mag! The caliber produces way too much recoil to trust a cheap scope to keep a zero. This is a great option for a 22 LR or possibly a 223 but calibers with significant recoil will probably not hold zero for long. 7mm mag ammo is over $1 every time you pull the trigger, probably closer to $2, so shooting it 10 times gets expensive. My philosophy with "hunting calibers" like the 7mm mag, 30-06, etc, is to spend more on the scope than I do on the rifle. Pretty much any modern rifle will be accurate right out of the box and a good quality scope will insure accuracy down the road. I have 25 year old Leupold scopes that have never lost zero.

Q: Will this scope work with an air rifle/pellet gun (specifically a Beeman RS1)?

You need to get a zero recoil mount otherwise the double recoil of the air rifle will break the scope.
