The clock has a number of advantages, but please note that the instructions specify to remove the batteries if you use the power adapter. In other words, if you were expecting a clock that normally used wall power but would keep time during a long power outage, this isn't the one you want, at least if you follow the directions. In the clock's favor, however, I noticed that the clock kept the time for a couple of seconds after unplugging it, so it looks like a momentary power glitch wouldn't bother it.Also, I found it difficult to program the clock without the instructions in front of me.On the positive side, I liked the electronic tuning and the fact that the clock display doesn't glow during the night. (Better for sleeping, according to one sleep expert I recently heard.)

I only used this clock one night and threw it out. Here's what I didn't like:1) You have to find a button to press, in the dark to light the display so you can see the time at night. Well I don't like to have to turn on the lights so I can find a button to read the clock in the middle of the night.2) The directions tell you take the batteries out if you plan to use the plug. HUH? what good will that do when the electric goes out during the night. Hence there really is no back up like it claims.3) When the alarm did go off, the button to turn it off had to be pushed over and over again to get it to turn the thing off. It's the same button you use when setting the clock and that button was trying to reset the clock while the alarm was screaming at me.Need I go on anymore? I've already purchased another clock.UPDATE....the company/Amazon (not sure who made the decision) that sent this clock decided to refund my money after reading my review. I did NOT ask for a refund as I threw the clock away out of frustration rather than send it back. It was a good move and I appreciate it.

I purposely looked for an alarm clock with good reviews. This has a four star rating so I thought it would be good. I must say I am rather disappointed and will most likely return this item. The things I liked about it are that it displays the temp and date. But that is where the things I like about this product end. The display is dark and only completely visible from straight on. When you hit the snooze/light button the light only stays on for a very brief moment which does not allow you enough time to even set the alarm with out another light source. The alarm is not a simple off switch either. You have to hit the mode button and then hit the up button. Just not what I had hoped for or expected.

You need to be a mechanical engineer to operate this thing, first of all. I like the size which is quite small. I did not want a loud buzzer so I've been on the hunt for a small, bright LED, radio alarm clock. I don't want the iPod bills and whistles. Just simple. I still cannot figure out the alarm function. I finally was able to set it for the same time each morning but it's too difficult for me to figure out how to change the time for the weekend to wake up later. So now it wakes me up too early on the weekends. I'm really ready to toss it in the garbage. The LED display went out about two weeks after I started using it so you cannot see it unless you tap the snooze bar. There is no visible display of the time. It's a cheaply made piece of junk. I was traveling when it came in the mail and so it was beyond the 30 days otherwise I would've returned this worthless item. Save your money.

I don't know why they make these clock radios so complicated to use. It took me a while to figure everything out and some functions 'appear' to not work as instructed, although it's probably me. What I did not like was you have to hit the snooze bar to find out the time, so you just can't glance at the clock to tell the time. Also, the snooze bar has to be hit on either side as hitting it in the middle doesn't work. I set the radio frequency to be used for the radio alarm, but it always defaults to 87.5. I tried this several times without success. 87.5 is just static. I purchased this for my wife as I thought it was easy to use, but it is not and I will return it unless I intend to be 'keeper of the clock' for the rest of it's days.

I purchased this item because of the amber display that dims, and because you can plug the unit in, so you don't have to change batteries.The controls were needlessly complicated and it died after seven months. In short, it sucks, but I guess its not relevant anymore since the product is unavailable for purchase.Amazon customer service was kind enough to refund me, even though I only asked for warranty information on the product. I would have handled it myself but I am guessing it was probably more trouble than its worth, which is why they just gave me a refund. So, hats off to Amazon Customer Service.

This alarm clock requires an interface change as without the instructions, some features are tough to figure out. For example, setting the radio station is easy. But when the clock is set to turn on the "Rad" (radio alarm), it only plays the default station of 87.5Mhz which is only static in my area. I'm able to tune the radio (Radio ON button) to any station, but it does not change the alarm radio frequency.Otherwise works as advertised. But since I like to wake up to music, I am unable to recommend this clock.

I found the clock/radio just "OK". I miss the clock display being on at night. You have to press the snooze bar to see the time at night. The snooze bar is not well made.Setting the radio alarm is somewhat difficult. I had to read the instructions several times to get it right. Once mastered, it's OK too.For the price, this is an "OK" product. Not a bad purchase or product, but you get what you pay for.
