Probably good for most
Based upon the good reviews of this product, I wanted to test it against other access points I have. However, when I tried to use my WPA2/AES key (or as they refer to it, a passphrase) a pop-up indicated that one of the characters was a "special" character and it would not let me use it. That key has been in use for some time on multiple APs, was generated using a commonly used key generator (to improve complexity and randomness), and conforms with allowable keys. I did set up a test case using some IP cameras to test functionality and performance and it did work fine. The UI is a bit primitive, but gets the job done. So, if you use a simple key or restrict your use of special characters, you will be fine and it does seem like it is a good AP. If you try to use it with an Enterprise class key, then you may not be able to use it. Technical support indicated "There is no work around at this point." after I submitted a case. They did reply in a prompt manner.

Like -- range good, BUT limited to 100Mbps Ethernet!
EDIT 10/22/17: Like every wireless access point or router, this unit needs a firmware update to avoid the now-famous KRACK exploit. Intellinet -- please hurry up the firmware update!EDIT 2/22/2017: Downgraded to 4 starts. Here's why: when I upgraded Internet in my house from 90Mbps to 180Mbps, throughput from this WAP did not increase. That's when I figured out it's because the Ethernet connection on the back supports only 10/100Mbps. So even though the device is listed as "300", you won't get even 100Mbps due to the non-gigabit Ethernet connection on the back.I had good results with this AP. I have a wireless router at one end of the house, which doesn't provide enough signal at the other end of the house. I ran an Ethernet cable and installed the Intellinet at the other end of the house, and all signal problems are gone. The Intellinet seems to have a superior range to other APs I've used.Like all APs, you have to know what you're doing to set this up, especially if the IP range on your local network is different than the default on the Intellinet.TIP for crowded urban environments: Grab your Android phone and get one of the many WiFi signal analyzer apps. Turn off your wireless router and your AP, and then check out which channels your neighbors are using, both at your wireless router location, and at the location where you plan to install your AP. Then pick (two different) channels for your router and your AP. Choose the channels at each location with the least signal strength competition from your neighbors' WiFi at that location. For your equipment, choose from channels 1, 6, and 11, which no not "overlap" one another.

Solid product. Better than Airlink stuff I had
The product works as described. Amazing since past equipment that is similar tended to be a little on the flaky side of things. Setup was well documented and but for some strange behavior caused by my other networking equipment, it really went well.

Easy to configure but instructions lacking!
This is a decent access point, it has the standard security features with the ability for wireless bridging and WPS. It was easy to setup, the admin page is pretty straightforward, and you can set antenna transmit power, which is great for an AP at this price point. However, the instructions are lacking. I wish there was more detail on configuring a WPS.

Unreliable. Had 2 of these units and both failed after about a year. Worked right out of the box with default settings for that first year. Then they both stopped connecting to the internet. Resets and multiple repair settings were tried but the units could not be fixed.Technical Support was the most defensive and rude I've ever encountered. No way would I ever buy anything from Intellinet again. Netgear and/or EnGenius will be my choices.

Great AP - Easy setup - 3 year warranty
I am an IT contractor, and I recommend these to my customers all the time. The Intellinet line of switches, routers and APs are all easy to configure, and priced well. This AP is no exception. It carries a three year warranty, that's two years longer than Linksys, and costs about a $100 less. The newer version of this model is white.

Poor Quality Product
Bought one of these for home use after an old router finally had its last day. Out of the box the unit had one antenna loose and something rattling around inside. Fortunately I was able to exchange for a Linksys router - well worth the extra few $.

15 months in and it's more reliable than the Linksys it replaced
For me, this unit replaced a Linksys WAP-54G that started giving me a load of trouble after a couple of years of use. So far, this unit has been rock solid in our home.
