Q: What is the widest diameter of the "rod" part?

At the outside diameter of the socket end of the rod it measures just under 9/16”. This is for the 10mm socket. By-the-way, this a quality tool. I purchased it over 2 years ago to use for 10mm adjustments on my radial saw. Perfect!!

Q: Can i use this on my 06 Honda Civic side mirror?

I coincidentally work for Honda and use it on all of the license plate frames they I put on the back of the cars. As far as your side mirror I wouldn’t know what size socket is on the side mirror for your ‘06 Civic. If you wanted to post a pic of what you’re trying to use it for I can probably give you a best guess as to whether or not it would work.
