Optimal Wellness: Where Mainstream and Alternative Medicine Meet

After purchasing this book almost 2 years ago, I've read most of it. I've read portions of it just to read and learn (it's that interesting and easy to read) and I continually go pull it off the shelf to read for a few days regarding a certain health concern- my #1 go-to book for health topics. Dr. Golan has many years of experience which you can really feel. I appreciate his humble approach and dedication to the priority of the patient feeling well- so many Doctors carry a chip on thier shoulder and come across as if they know everything and you should trust only what they say. What I like most about this book and the author is his integration of western Medicine and Alternative (or Eastern) practice. And because of his years and years of experience, he knows what works and what doesn't and isn't above sharing all that.The sections and chapters are well divided and it is easy to jump around and read just what you need. He covers the gamut in this book. Alot of his advice is easy to do and will not cost you a fortune. No gimics or hidden agenda. He doesn't push products that make him money.His advice in this book has helped me improve my health. Thank you Dr. Golan for putting out a book that is so helpful and also so easy to read!

This book is awesome and so educational. I love it as I am studying to be a natural health practitioner. My only complaint would be that the print is extremely small. So much information crammed into the pages.

Great knowledge. But was a hard readI'd suggest to stick with Dr. Jensen's books, his writing keeps you captivated and interested.This was like reading a boring text book and the font was too small. My own personal opinion.

Giving it only 3 stars. I haven't read it yet, but only becuase I will have to get myself some extra strong reading glasses. The print is in like 4 pt font. I cant see it with my regular readers. I am sure I will be able to give it a better review after I can read it.

This was a book I'd once purchased when it was new, and loved it. I had lent it out few times; the last time, apparently never to be seen again. I was thrilled to find it again at this price. The book was shipped quickly and all is great.

Great book, but warning! This paperback edition is much smaller than the original. Huge margins, teeny tiny type. You have to be very motivated to use it.

This is a useful book, feels a little opinionated and perhaps a bit out of date in certain areas. But is loaded with good principals and good useful information. The print is very small. But works as a reference.

Fantastic book. Best book i’ve Ever read on healthcare. So comprehensive and easy to read. Great reference book as well.
