We foster cats (and dogs) through a local rescue here in Iowa, as well as have our own menagerie of pets. I am always, always on the hunt for better tools in which we can use to care for our furbabies. Another friend, also involved in rescue, recommended we try a grooming glove - especially for our long-haired cats. After some research, I decided on this particular glove because the grooves are supposed to mimics a cat's tongue.I'm happy to report that one of our long haired cats, who frequently has tangles and knots because he doesn't groom well enough on his own, thoroughly seems to enjoy being groomed/combed (what is the right terminology??) with this glove. I started out by first spraying liquid catnip on the cloth portion of the glove. Then, I slowly introduced the cat that I mentioned, Fuzzy O'Connor, to the glove by letting him sniff it and rub himself against it. Next, I picked Fuzzy up and placed him in my lap. Lastly, I started softly combing him with the glove on my hand. He really seemed to enjoy it! I'm sure the liquid catnip helped. :) Fuzzy typically will not stand grooming with say a Furminator brush at all. So, I was a bit pessimistic that this would work for him. Boy, am I sure glad that I was wrong!Overall, I'm quite pleased with this purchase! Now, on to try it on my other two long haired cats!

My cats hate being groomed, it's really hard trying to brush them so I decided to give this glove a try.I am AMAZED of how many hair it picks up!! Not only that but both the cats do not mind this! I'm not saying they're fully enjoying the experience but for sure they let me do my job with less fights. More over, it's something I can use everyday!I will definitely recommend it!

I would absolutely buy this again! I have a Great Dane with short hair and he has bad allergies this is perfect for him and it’s easy for me to use. I’ve had it now for a couple of weeks and when I pull it out he’s is right there, waiting to be pet. 😁

I like this blue glove very much. The glove is a breathable, see-through soft mesh material; I assume for easy washing. The palms are made of rubbery nubs that massage your pet while grabbing up all the loose hairs. I often use it to massage and bathe my dog. My dog used to hate combing and bathing, but now he enjoys the gloves.

This is definitely a step up from the conventional brushes I was using with my short-haired, calico cat! She didn’t like being brushed, and she still doesn’t like being groomed with these but she tolerates it a lot better. It’s easy to distract her with food or catnip and then stroke her like I normally pet her! Her hair is super fine and soft, but the silicone nuns grab the hair well. She also seems to be especially calmed by the spiral pattern on the palm.Cons: The gloves’ flexibility definitely leaves something to be desired and the glove is huge - even my 6 foot tall dad would struggle to fill these out. It’s definitely worth it to pay $5 more for a quality glove that you can actually use more efficiently than a piece of molded silicone sewn onto a nylon glove. Also, it’s difficult to clean the hair out of the glove. I wish there was a mechanism that would clear the bristles at once because I pick at this thing for 5 minutes to clean it out. Also, I wish the nubs were a bit longer, not as stout, and a bit softer.

I have 2 VERY hairy Akitas and 2 cats that don't like to be touched. This glove works well for both. It really makes the dogs coats super soft. They look so much better after a good brushing with this. It also makes brushing much easier. When I use a regular brush, they fight with me the whole time. This makes it seem like I'm playing with them. They love it! My cats love it too. They actually tolerate my existence for the couple minutes I brush them.

My cat *hates* being brushed. This glove has been the best! Now, he lays down and purs while I pet him with the glove. I can get a couple of minutes of brushing in before my playful cat attacks the glove, which is much more successful than any other brush I've used in the past! It took a few attempts and a lot of distractions for him to allow me to try the glove initially, but since then, I've had little trouble getting in a quick grooming session. The glove isn't quite as effective as a traditional brush, and it isn't the easiest to clean, but the pros far outweigh the negatives. Overall great product!
