This is a wonderful book for reflecting on how to engage others authentically in conversations about faith.

Outstanding read!!

I loved this book! It provides easy to use suggestions for ways to share our faith in Jesus in a very caring and respectful way. It is well-written and easy to follow. We used this in a "small group" for reading and sharing/discussion and it was very powerful and well-received by everyone in our group.

Pollock has an incredible gift with words. It is evident in the book and in the stories he tells. His approach to life is something more Christians should take. Viewing life with a sense of humility that there are different people and circumstances in this world. That we can all learn from listening to one another. Especially in a time of a constant on-the-go society. This book it easy to read and digest. It is relatable with examples of how to be relatable in your own life to people which you'd never think of relating.

I wish every Christian would read this book. It would help the "sales-pitch" evangelists to be less offensive and help the "I'm just not an evangelist" crowd wake up and realize that if they have a passion for Jesus and are willing to show other people His love, they can become a good listener, a good friend, and help the people around them discover Jesus one "Ah-ha" moment at a time.

Went through the book with my small group. It teaches to grow a genuine interest in who you're speaking with, find out what really matters to them, and then how to connect that to the gospel. The goal shouldn't be to get them saved in that one conversation, but to just push them one step closer!

The numbers are horrible. Fewer than 1 out of 20 Christians share the Gospel message with the unsaved. Probably with good reason. Years ago our faith was largely pracitced by the public or at least everyone had a somewhat open heart to Jesus. Today ... not so much. The old "in your face" method of evangelism quickly turns people off. But wait ... there's hope (with God there always is). Here's a great book that gives the budding Billy Graham a way to effectively communicate the Gospel in today's parlance. It gives real life examples of common do's & dont's but also allows the reader to gain some wonderful tools for building a bridge to share our faith without running the person off. Also great tips for recovering lost oppurtunities of the past. I know of a huge local church that's using this very book in an evangelistic class this summer. Remember Saints ... it's the great commission. Not the great suggestion. A must have! Peace :)

One of the things I enjoyed so much about this writing is that he doesn’t provide a magic formula for talking to people about Christ. He makes sure that the spirit of Christ remains center of the conversation. We simply have to be open and available to nurture whatever God has started.

This is a must have for any believer in the world of Christianity. It eases the fear of needing to be someone you are not in order to bring the light of the gospel into other people's lives. We used it for launching our Lifetree Cafe, as well as for our wed. night Bible study and Ladies Bible study. Our people were so grateful for this information and we really appreciated the insights here.

Very informative and down to earth realistic approach in today's world.Excellent ideas and makes it easy for anyone to make space for God in every day conversations with respect, and not rubbing people the wrong way in a world where there is a lot of skepticism and many have been hurt by either Christians or the church and become defensive to the tactics and schemes often used. Very authentic and practical approaches. Be real.

Love this book! It has great practical examples and tips for evangelism.
