I live in the desert city of Las Vegas and having tropical plants is almost impossible. It's too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. I needed more light on some indoor plants not receiving enough natural sunlight in my home. These tropical plants can't get direct light and so this grow light is perfect. Its 50 watts run for 8 hours along with the limit natural light that comes through my windows give just the right amount for them to do well. This helps place plants in areas of my house that was normally bear to green stuff. I eventually will rewire the lamp to be less noticeable on my wall, now I know the plants are thriving off it.The packaging from the manufacturer was a little thin and I had a few dimples on the edges of the light rim. This is not noticeable when suspended from 8 feet up. But if I had it lower, I might be inclined to return it. Overall this is a great source of light and runs great.

Just stopped by to get another one of these. We bought one in November 2019, and my husband really liked it so bought another in Jan 2020. One stopped working last May or June, and the other toward the end of summer. We ran them 24 hours a day all that time.My husband uses it for vegetable and flower starts, to perk up sad looking house plants, and to keep potted non-hardy outdoor plants healthy in the winter. Worked great. (lol, Also made a good nightlight, if I got up in the middle of the night. :D)I'm hoping the current version is as well made as the two that we bought a few years ago. I was shocked when I looked it up to get a new one and realized how long they had been running.

We have thousands of dollars in orchids and they love these lights, the timers are easy to set and work like clockwork! Set them and forget about it

We have this on a timer so that the plants get a rest at night. It's color spectrum is perfect. Our flowers have grown all year long. Loved the light. Perfect for our need. The only reason for 4 starts is the middle section of leds (there are 3 sections) burned out in about 10 months. The description says it "CAN" last up to 23 years. Well I guess not. If it didn't function as well as it did for the plants WHEN it worked fully, I would have not ordered another one. Hopefully this one lasts but if not, we will NOT purchase another one of this brand. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me!

These are well made L.E.D. (Light Emitting Diode, not lead nor any lead involved) grow lights that run cool and run a long time. We now own 5 of them and they run several hours a day and the oldest lasted almost 4 years before one string of L.E.D.s went out. Well worth the price.One great thing is they are RFI clean so you won't have them interfering with radio reception for you or your neighbors.

First time using a grow light I was impressed with the results, works great for starting veggies seeds.

Was looking for an inexpensive set of lights to start my garden seeds. Both lights were bent but still worked.

I can keep my lemon trees in the basement all winter withthese grow lights. The trees flourish and grow so nicely withnew blooms coming out for the springtime so I can take themoutside in warmer weather.
