Tactical Red LED Flashlight Single Mode Hunting Handheld Flashlight with Zoomable and Waterproof for Astronomy Night Observation etc.

Bought one, along with a green one, to strap to the front of my canoe to act as nav lights. They get some splashing, but never submerged. Green one worked, and continues to work (a month later) just fine. The red one started turning off and on and flickering the second time I used it. Tried changing the batteries, opening it up in case it had gotten some water inside (it hadn't), still kept flickering. So I returned it for a replacement (Amazon does have the best return system!), got the replacement, it started flickering right away too. So I returned it for a refund this time, and bought a different brand. It goes off and on too.What do they have in common? Guess where they are made? It's hard to find one made in USA. Funny that it's the red one that doesn't work, though; you'd think China would be experts in red. Anyway, have decided to buy a regular light and a red sharpie to color in the lens and see if that works better.

I don't use this for hunting or anything of the sort. I just wanted a red flashlight that was bright that wouldn't break the bank. This flashlight is extremely bright I absolutely love it. I am a huge fan of the zoom feature on the flashlight. The led light shows up in perfect form when zoomed in all the way which I like. I only use the AAA batteries in it and they work fantastic, I tried an 18650 battery and didnt see any noticeable difference in the brightness. Also this is a single mode flashlight which is what I always look for on/off no sos, strobe, hi, medium, low, just high and off. I assume this would be a great light for hog or coyote hunting. When zoomed it can light up several hundred yards away. For the price and the brightness I cant see how this can be beat.

Man, this is a great astronomy tool. Threw an 18650 in it & it's almost too bright. Only thing I would change is have the switch do a high/low/off setting instead of on/off. Seems durable, feels solid. Best red flashlight I've had (had a bunch).

This works well and comes with a sleeve to upgrade it to a lithium ion battery if desired. A much better constructed flashlight than I expected for the money!

I use these a few times this year walking to my deer stand during the latter part of the season when there was not much moon light. I like everything about this flashlight. I don't need the brightness at the narrow setting but it is perfect when adjusted to it's widest setting. It fits nicely in the pocket of my hunting coat. Good for minimal eye pupil adjustment immediately after I turn it off.

The red light is bright and you can adjust the size of the beam. The downside is that three AAA Lithium batteries will only operate this light for approximately 30 - 40 minutes.

At first I was really happy with this flashlight. The color of the light was excellent. The brightness was very good. The lens on it in addition to the adjustable focus makes it useful in a lot of situations. The problem is it doesn't have unappropriate low voltage cutoff for lithium batteries. It discharges them to 2.5 volts which not only will greatly reduce their lifespan oh, but can cause chemical instability, and internal shorts that can be dangerous. So if you plan on using an 18 650 you should probably consider getting a different flashlight.

I opened the box and actually tried 9 NEW batteries and the flashlight still would would not turn on. I obviously am returning it.
