Photographer's Guide to the Panasonic Lumix DC-LX100 II: Getting the Most from Panasonic's Advanced Compact Camera

The instruction books that come with most cameras today are pretty useless. To begin to master the myriad of settings, options and such on your new digital camera, you need this kind of guide. This series is well-known for its ease of use and helpfulness. Just don’t expect to be an expert anytime soon if you are (like me) new to digital cameras that are not your phone. It takes time, a long time to really master the functions to go beyond point-n-shoot image quality. The author recommended this book for owners of the sister version from Leica (D-Lux 7) vs. the previous book on the earlier D-Lux models like the 109. So, if you have the D-Lux 7, get this book mainly because the tiny Leica manual is totally insufficient beyond operating in Auto mode.

I am an experienced photographer. Not a professional but I have owned a number of cameras designed for a person who wants more than one button to push for a photo. Many cameras available today, for the serious photographer, are computers that take photos and allows you the flexibility to really improve the technical aspects of your photography. The Lumix LX100 II is such a camera. While the Panasonic instruction manual will provide the needed basic material for using the camera, it is not written with a primary focus on easy comprehension. This book accomphish that aspect. The Lumix LX100 II is a complex camera and the book is is extremely helpful in explaining all the features and how to apply them for your benefit when using this device.

Poor organization, many errors, carelessly written. I was a newcomer to this kind of camera. Perhaps previous experience with the the functions of this class of camera, and how its kind of menu system would help.

The Lumix DC-LX100 II is a compact DC yet with a great deal of features. This book is really useful in providing easy-to-read guides for users who would like to make the most of this camera. A must-have for owners/users.

Just a rehash of previous book. Lacks special features of II such as time lapse for astro photography, discussion why infinity setting changes or the advantages of focus stacking.

I bought this on the recommendations of other reviews here. One stated of the poor quality comparing it to a photo copy the other just a rehash of the lx100. I found this to be top quality print on heavy stock paper. I read the full downloadable manual 300+ pages and although thorough, it can be dry and too technical. There are a couple of walkthru's of this camera on youtube that I also found helpful. All in all tho a good manual and worth the little money charged. Cheers

This is a very easy to follow read and reveals so many functions this camera provides that I am amazed at how much can be crammed into such a small package. Before buying this book I visited the Panasonic website and learnt far more from this book than I would have thought possible. I heartily recommend this to anyone who owns the Lumix LX100ii to maximize their potential joy from the camera's numerous options.

le panasonic sono ottime macchine ma con tali quantità di funzioni che ci si rischia di perderci schiacciando bottoni invece di fare foto. Questo manuale, scritto in modo semplice echiaro rende tutto più facile. Peccato non esista una traduzione in italiano anche se l'inglese dell'autore è facilmente comprensibile anche per chi ha una modesta conoscenza della lingua

Very informative indeed, without this guide I’d be lost in the galaxy of features that this camera has.Easy to read and written in a not too technical way so easy to understand too.I highly recommend this book - I also have the one for the Sony RX10III which is equally as good 10/10 from me.

Just what I've been waiting for: A really nicely produced, well illustrated and readable user guide for the Panasonic Lumix DC-LX100 Mk2 camera. Brilliant.Note: Leica D-Lux 7 camera users may also find this manual a very useful reference.
