The Big Book of Birds

My daughters (4 and 6) LOVE this book. The illustrations are colorful and fun to look at, and the pages are packed with interesting facts without overloading my kids with too much information. Even I have learned new and interesting facts about different birds. My girls also love finding the hidden eggs in the pages. I highly recommend this book!

We LOVE the "big book" series! They have great, fun, and interesting animal facts -- often information that my all-knowing animal-loving 7-year-old hasn't heard or read before. The illustrations are gorrrrgeous as well! We own every one of these books and are crossing our fingers for a reptiles one soon, hopefully! Will absolutely keep these books to pass down to my son's children someday.

Beautiful, fun book which includes a great variety of birds! My only criticism would be the illustrations are a bit too liberal at times.

We have loved all of Yuval Zommer's Big Books and this one certainly did not disappoint! Such a fun book for young and old, with many different types of birds and facts about them. We love the pictures and pull this out frequently!

These books are absolutely beautiful! They are perfect for my 5 and 6 year old. The perfect amount of information on each page. I can’t wait to collect the rest of Zommer’s books!

WE LOVE YUVAL ZOMMER’S BIG BOOK SERIES!!! He has his own unique style of illustrating that we’ve loved right from the beginning! The art alone keeps my children interested. They love turning the pages, admiring the photos and telling me which facts to read to them first. These books are a treasure that can be used as a read aloud but also to learn! Big fans of his work!

This is a beautiful informative book. My 5 year old daughter loved it. Note that some people don’t like how bird eyes are drawn ( both eyes on the same side of bird face). It’s an artistic expression, make sure to take a look at provided photos to see how you feel about them before purchasing.

We love the art work on this book. We got this for homeschooling and our little one loves it. It’s a large (tall) book with lots of interesting things to look at and learn. Could easily be displayed out and it would look great.

My son and daughter love these books. They enjoy looking at the beautiful illustrations and they also love having the books read to them. I like the fact that they teach them about the world around them at the same time.

This book was the best Christmas present for my 7 year old. She reads it day and night and we get to hear loads of bird facts. The pictures are also beautiful!

The book is amazing. It begins with explaining the different types of birds - prey, forest and grassland birds, garden birds etc. it’s a wonderful book to introduce birds to kids. Birds are clubbed together - for instance flightless birds, and beautiful illustrations along with information about its habitat, food preferences, etc are shared. It’s not a detailed account of each type of bird - you are better off buying a picture book if that’s what you are looking for. My 4.5 year old loves this book. I did pick and chose the information I shared with him when I stared reading the book but that is primarily to not overwhelm him. A few reads later - we now read the book cover to cover :)
