Works great - Takes a little getting used to
I saw this on the Tested Youtube channel. I was trying to resin print clear parts for my 3D models. Given Adam's enthusiastic use, I decided to give this a try. Packaging - I didn't have any issue with packaging. It is cheap Chinese packaging but the machine was well packed. Odor - With any new device that gets super hot, you will notice a little smoke from grease or dirt cooking off. I use mine in my garage with the garage door open for ventilation. You are softening plastic so there will be odor and VOCs which are probably not good for you. Use - Easy to use. This is my first time vacu-forming anything so I had 2 mistakes. Mainly not waiting long enough to heat up. Heat up on the upper level and then lower for the rest of it. Do not vacu-form until the sheet sags a lot. Then drop, turn off the heat and turn on the vacuum as fast as you can. Swing the head to the side and use a paper towel to help press the edges down if needed (not all the time - and puck dependent). Price - a bit expensive for such a basic machine BUT it is heck of a lot easier and cheaper than building your own. Puck Making - Make sure you get all the lines out of your puck. The vacu-form will show ever little defect so if you want a perfect vacu-form part, make sure your puck is of equal quality.

Great buy. Well packaged. Works great!
Amazing price for this products capabilities. The heating source is perfect. You can adjust the distance easily between the forming sheet, and the element. There are 2 positions available. The one with the most distance works best. Contrary to older reviews here, mine arrived packaged INCREDIBLY well. It was also double boxed by Amazon. There was some smoking of the element when I first fired it up. I did that outside, based upon prior reviews. It only happened the first time. Oil is often used on metal to prevent rusting during ocean based shipping from China to the US. That is the source of the smoke, with the heating element. Perfectly normal, and appreciated as the machine is in pristine condition. Don't hesitate. Do not worry about the earlier reviews on packing. This company was proactive in rectifying any issues on that front. Love it... the suction.. whoa. The price? Incredible. And while it may not be the prettiest machine, but the functionality is impressive.

Solid and useful item
This is a very good and very sturdy item. If you're looking to vacuform some smaller items, either for model making or cosplay or even for mold making, then this does the job. I cannot stress how sturdy this item is. It feels like a 1950s wrought iron deal or something like that. The heating element gets very hot very fast, and the vacuum is super powerful. All in all, a great find for model makers or cosplayers, or makers of any kind that use plastic.

Great investment and works well
Works better than expected for the price. The suction is really strong and it pics up detail very well. It heats up quickly but the temperature is hard to control so you really have to watch to not over heat the plastic. I recommend getting eye level with the center of thr machine so you can watch the behavior of the plastic during heating. This does not come with instructions but it is pretty straight forward. { Load plastic in frame, lock in place, raise frame with handle, place model on vented vacuform bed (with or without the steel beads if needed, I find them kind of annoying to use), turn the heating element on, wait 30-60 seconds or so until you see the plastic begin to ripple a bit and then sag slighty, turn heat off, use handle to drop frame with malleable plastic onto top of form and simultaneously flip the suction toggle on at the same time for half - one second so that it pulls tightly against the form. There are a couple of good YouTube intros out there for this exact machine. I plan to use this for model making and it has been really fun so far. I am looking for more economically thermoplastic sheeting to purchase than the precut options. I have used some clear plastic from recycled restaurant clam shell packaging but heated it for far less time than the official sheets for sale and it worked fairly well also but obviously not as well as the formulated thermo sheets on Amazon. I look forward to experimenting more with recycled plastics, anyhow. If anyone has any leads on which specific plastic compositions work best or cheaper thermo plastic options, please let me know.

terrible packaging, cheap Chinese model
first off, the way the vacuum form machine was packed was absolutely terrible. how this thing showed up in one piece is beyond me. they litterally wrapped the vacuum form machine in a piece of cardboard. the machine is fully exposed during shipping. purchase at your own risk! also it's made in China, so the instructions are terrible and make no sense at all. the machine it's self is ok I guess for the money but their are some design flaws such as you are only able to turn the heating coil 90° to left or right instead of all the way around out of the way so you don't get burned. also the beads are the same size as the wholes below which in turn cost you suction strength as the beads are pulled into the wholes. all that being said it does do the job. just remember if you are in need of a nice high end vacuum former this ones not for you.

I don't know how this has good reviews.
Absolute Garbage. The actual power of the heating element is closer to 144W in my machine. It takes 8 minutes to soften 1mm 5x5 sheets at the highest level of the platform. The platform got completely stuck and would not lower several times, I had to unscrew the set screw on the back of the platform in order to get it to lower. The plastic will not stay clamped properly and will slip out of the holder. When you drop the platform onto the mold, all the vacuum will bypass the sheet and it will not pull down onto the object.
