Perfect alternative to the cone
My kitten is four months old, 4 lbs, and very lanky and long. After her spay, my veterinarian said a suit or cone would only be necessary if she was licking and biting at her stitches too much. The first night we did see some biting at the stitches and didn't want to risk her taking them out overnight while we were sleeping, so we put on the suit. It does a great job of keeping her from getting at the stitches and as a bonus, she hates wearing it and doesn't move much when it's on which is great for helping her heal. Without it, she was very active and doing all the usual jumping and running. The first time I put it on her, she was able to get her arms out of it before I tightened down the elastic around the neck. I was concerned about tightening it because it creates a loop which could get caught on things. You can see in one of the images though, you can put the loop around the plastic tightener (whatever it's called) to make it less likely to get caught on something. The length of the suit does seem a bit short to me but I think that's to be expected when the kitty is at an "awkward age" where she is very long but still very skinny, but as you can see it still fits well enough to allow her to move and cover her incision site. There is also plenty of room at the back to allow for normal litter box use. This may be different on an adult cat if the suit covers the entire back of the cat.I did find it a little bit difficult to put on. The kitten is resistant to having it put on, but even if she wasn't I think it would be difficult to get it on her. Checking her incision site twice per day requires undoing the velcro at the back and lifting it up to look underneath, then reattaching the velcro securely. If your cat hates the suit as much as mine does, this part of it is challenging but not enough to deter me from continuing to use it.Overall this is a great product and very useful in the recovery process.

Great product
I ordered the DogLemi Cat Recovery Suit the day before her spay. I know the rear end picture is not pretty; however, that is what I wanted to know and could not find before ordering. Please notice her tail is up and in the happy position. I can confirm she is comfortable in the suit. For reference, she is four months old and weights 4.5 pounds. Based on the sizing chart, the X-Small is what I ordered, and it fits well, maybe a little large. I'm sure a larger cat could use this as well. I tried a soft e-collar that we borrowed while waiting for the suit to be delivered. She went crazy trying to get it off! It was like she was being punished and was going to hurt herself. We took it off and kept a close eye on her until the suit arrived. When we first put the suit on her the day of her surgery, she at first flopped like a fish and then pulled herself across the floor with her front legs. Within 30 minutes, she walked much like a kitten learning to walk. An hour later, she was walking normally. She never tried to get to the incision while wearing the suit. We ordered a second suit after knowing this one fit so well, and just in case this one gets dirty and needs to be washed. I took the suit off the day after surgery to give her a chance to clean. In less than 15 minutes, she was licking the incision. The suit went back on, and she did not even think about the incision. This is the second day, and she has done #1 and #2 with nothing getting on the suit. Happy ME!!!I would definitely recommend this Recovery Suit. I would use the same process again, Order one suit and make sure it fits. Then order the second suit.I ordered the 2nd suit from another company and will post this exact review on their reviews. It is the same DogLemi Cat Recovery Suit.Revised Review:We had to put a baby's diaper safety pin between the two velcro attachments to keep her from escaping the suit. See the picture. Easy Enough! We still give it 5 starsWe plan to donate the suits to an animal rescue organization when we she is healed. They will put them to good use many many times.I hope this helps everyone that is going to spay their cat.

Not Escape Proof
I purchased a small for a lanky, long and skinny (teenage size) cat. It fits good except the neck opening is a bit odd. She was licking at her incision after a spay so I thought I'd try this instead of a cone. It worked perfectly the first two days then she managed to pull open the velcro tabs and slip out of it. I loved the idea of the velcro closures so I could easily put ointment on her incision, however the velcro just isn't strong enough to keep her from pulling it open and slipping out of the suit every time I put it on her. I'll try to add some heavy snaps and hopefully that will do the trick.

Nice material, strange fit
This shirt has a strange fit. The medium was too big but the small was much too small. The material is better than any other suit we have tried. It is soft, durable and has withheld my cat’s licking. Unfortunately, the medium suit kept catching my cats turds when he used the litter box. We ended up adding some rouching to the underneath of the medium size (see picture) and that helped. The neck line is also a bit wide and low so that it sits right on his collar bone. The Velcro is nice and strong, and doesn’t catch everything like some Velcro does. I wish it were a better fit but it is the best one I’ve found so far. We also twist the little bands that go around his back legs.
