How to protect my fingers from hurting when knitting?? These tips are sharp

I am also a tight knitter and am working on loosen up, but in the meantime, when I need to knit with thin, sharp needles, I wear small bandaids on the tip of my right hand finger (am also a english style flicking knitter). Work on loosening up and building a little callous where you touch the needle tip. Good luck.

How long is the actual needle?

The metal ends are 5"' and the plastic they are joined to is long. Needles are great, somewhat like addi turbos, but much less expensive.

Is the 40" cable long enough to knit a 60" wide blanket?

It would depend on the weight of the yarn. I had light wt. yarn and the item I knitted, granted a lacy pattern, was about 64." (This was for a flounce at the bottom of a swing sweater.) Good luck.

I love the points on these needles! The join is smooth. I’m using them with cotton yarn and the yarn doesn’t stick!I’m knitting a small women’s top. The length of the cord is just right for both magic loop and in-the-round knitting.These are great needles, I can see them lasting a very long time.

Best Needles I know about

Chiaogoo needles are always great quality. I've bought many sets over the years. The cables are the best. No memory.This set is 40" long. My plan is to knit four socks at a time on it! I've never done it, but it sounded like fun. The photo shows 3 socks and the fourth is ready to add to it. I like toe up. The needles are slick, but not too slick. I am super happy with these knitting needles. I've had several of my pairs for years.

Chiaogoo Circular Needles

This is a top notch product, but if you are a “death grip:” knitter know that you can bend them a bit. They remain fully useable, just be aware.I don’t know if it is the seller or Amazon, but for Pete’s sake why is your barcode label across the information on the size etc? Stop it. I bought these for gifts, impossible to get off !!!
