Yes! I stitched mine onto the bottom of a sofa where the dog had chewed.

Q: 1: What does the edge look like when cutting ie same as surface colour?

The underside is not leather, it is a white mesh-like textile so when cut, from the side it appears to have a white edge.

Q: Is both sides leatherette? I am looking for a material I can make for a cape on a 1/12 scale.

Hi, no it isn't. Leatherette facing just on one side. The reverse is a sort of material backing
