I was surprised to find that K&N make filters for the house and while they are more expensive than what you would normally purchase they’re a lifetime purchase!I’m so well pleased with mine, especially because we suffer from allergies. The other part is that not only can you use it for the main section of the household that requires a household filter but you can also use it for the one that’s needed in the furnace.By my math, one purchase of these filters for the house, which is a lifetime because they can be washed and also spray down with a little bit of fragrance saves you an overall of thousands of dollars depending on how long you own the house

How can you go wrong with a washable filter. They are only going to get to be more expensive. This was a one time purchase and I’m sure like their automotive filters. It will last for years.

These filters are the best, they filter so much dust. I bought two so that I can use the clean one and let one dry for next time. They flow air exceptionally and when they get dirty the reduction is noticeable. I like not throwing away filters every month and having them lets me keep up on the filter changes.

Good filter, Quality is solid, this is heavy and metal overall looks good. I knocked a star off because it sometimes whistles and makes loud noise, not sure if this is due to lower airflow. Overall it is easy to clean, I use my blower outside and it cleans it well then use water. Overall this is good alternative to buying disposable filter. My house air feels clean overall.

Love the filter. Overall i am saving so much. Just vacuum the filter and wash it with the hose occasionally. Easy.

New house has a larger opening (20 x 30) than Ive had in the past. And the all of the carboard based filters seems to flex just enough to whistle . Tried cramming cardboard and foam around the opening. I put a metal rod in the opening the reinforce the filter. But then the rod would whistle. This unit has a rigid enough frame and with the added benefit of being reusable will pay for its self in a year. I do keep an old reusable filter around for the days when i wash this one. Just hose it off and let it dry over night.

I absolutely love this washable furnace air filter! It has saved me so much money since I can easily wash and reuse it. This is a great product. Air vents keep going up in price and it's getting a little out of hand! What I like about this product is that it is really well made. It has a strong outer edge that is not flimsy and the screen it's self works great. I've had it in my house for about a month. Yesterday, was the first time I washed it. It had accumulated much more bust than the disposable filters. I only used the water hose and sprayed it through the clean side so the dust doesn't get caught. I did not use any other chemicals on this, JUST WATER. It cleaned up great, all the dust came out, & it dried it outside in the sun in about an hour. This is a great buy if you are trying to save so money!!!
