Well designed and made.
My Rotozip died after a lot of years of service and while looking for a replacement, I found this. I was on the fence buying this as the Rotozip worked so well for me and it's not a cheap tool. Now that I have used it for the last few months, it was a good buy. This tool is great. All the power I had with the Rotozip in a cordless. I use it for Sheetrock, ceiling tile, and paneling mostly. All of the Rotozip bits fit perfect and the tool doesn't need tools to change the bits. The switch is a little tricky at first as mine was very stiff.I actually thought there was some safety at first as I was pushing so hard and it didn't budge. After the first day, the issue of tightness was gone and it''s been just right since. The battery it comes with is the smaller version of what Dewalt offers, but it will accept the bigger one from the drills and impacts if you have those. The small battery get's me through about half the day when hanging Sheetrock all day and cutting outlets and can lights. The odd part about the battery is when it's dying, it's seems to be going near full speed then all of a sudden stop. Not really any warning that it's low like some of the older tools. The big battery goes all day. I still haven't run that out so I don't know if it does the same thing. The tool is also pretty light which is nice when working overhead all day. It's not too loud either. I really like it and wouldn't change much other than it needs a clip to hang from my tool belt. Even an accessory clip would be nice. Now I just take a long HVAC zip tie and tie it loose around the tool and hang it from a hook on my belt. Not perfect, but works. Haven't dropped it yet.

Very handy tool
This is a great tool that I use occasionally to cut out drywall. The LED is very beneficial, and the fact that it's cordless makes it very efficient and easier to use. The nature of the tool (very high rpm) gives it a slight vibration in the handle, and it is rather loud. The locking mechanism for bit changes seems a little underthought, but it does not change the functionality of the tool. I would recommend this tool highly, and I would purchase it again. For the occasional user however, the corded tool would be a much more cost effective option (less than half the price).

Makes cutting drywall as easy as cutting butter!
Frankly, it's almost too easy to cut drywall carve outs, such as cutting holes to check for water damage (unfortunately my issue), or cutting cabling or outlet holes. I also found this great for cutting drywall sheets to fit patching holes. The trick is to practice a bit first. Then clearly draw out your shape before cutting and you should have no problems. I also found this tool helpful to trim drywall shapes by running the drill bit along the edges that didn't quite fit. The full kit was perfect for my drywall projects and came fully equipped - no extras needed. The batteries are not the same as the old DeWalt Lithium 18W so make sure you are prepared to upgrade to these lighter 20W batteries that don't work in the old DeWalt devices. It also took a couple tries to get the hang of the bit loading on this device, but once you get the hang of it, you should have no problem.

Worth the money
Works well with good rpms and battery life only fault is the crappy bit it comes with.

Great tool!
I bought this for my husband's business. He has been in the drywall business for 35 years. He is very pleased with this cut out tool. He especially likes the way he can change out the bits so easily. He has put it to a lot of use already and will recommend it to anyone.

Like Butter
Ladies, if you have a project that you've been waiting for him to do for a very long time, buy him a new power tool and see how quickly the job gets done!Husband said he couldn't believe how easy it was to use and the job went FAST. He said it cut cleanly, easily and quickly. That's all I know. Good enough for me! PS: He loves DeWalt anything.
