Freeline Skates Roller Road Drift Plate Skates Steel/Wood

Just reminiscing on my purchase of these like 8 years ago, and who would've though how much fun I was going to have on them! Memories and memories with these things and riding with my buddy (who purchased some after he saw mine). These things are extremely hard to learn how to ride but they sure grab peoples attention when they see you fly by on them. Needless to say over the years I got pretty good and could land some tricks but these were just neat. Super well built and over designed, but I like it. My only comment would be that my buddy found these same ones for 1/3 the price by searching the internet. After so many years its I don't remember where but super cool product!!

They do not move like a ripstick! If you have decent balance and you are young then you will be fine. Great for anyone under 40. If your thinking you are going to run your dog with them then good luck going side ways!

When I saw someone skating by me at 10MPH doing the freakin MOONWALK, I was sold. He shouted"On your left!" And it was far too late, on my right was a fire hydrant and I'll be damned if this guy didn't open his legs and go right through it!Ryan has created an innovative product that has changed my life! I started skateboarding at 11 years old and was always into the movement. These things however, are difficult to learn. The nice thing is you can STEP off of them, unlike a skateboard where your committed. Although difficult, they are much safer. My girlfriend can even ride them (And bought a pair of PRO's). I have since been addicted to these things.The french have a saying called "Walk is out," and I couldn't agree more. Why walk when you can throw these things into your backpack and get on with it?!Not only am I close to 30 and far beyond wanting to hurt myself, I am amazed at the freedom of movement and how fun it is to just ride on these things. I am constantly stopped from all walks of life (Grandmas, kids, teenagers, skaters) whom tend to yell "What are those things?!" The funnest reaction I got was while riding in SF a bum yelled at me "Your blowing my mind kid, your blowing my mind!" These things are ATTENTION whores! Took them to the skatepark and had the whole squad of kids stop and wanting to try them!If your thinking about it, DO IT. There is nothing better than learning something difficult and new, these things are satisfying.The product itself is basically indestructible, portable, and just COOL. The range of motion is limitless, sometimes I find myself dancing on them! I hope they catch on more, Ryan has had some recent financial trouble. So do yourself a favor and buy the freelines. You wont be disappointed. I promise!

I'm pretty bad at riding these, and with winter around the corner, I probably won't be getting any better soon. They have a great build quality though, and are quite fun to learn with if you have the time to practice.

I am so pleased with my freelines, not only did they come with free one-day shipping, but they came with easy to use instructions that'll be sure to help. The skates are in perfect condition and I can't wait to start learning! If a friend of mine ever needs freelines, I'll definitely direct them this way.

probably the only thing that disappointed me was the wheels. i thought i was gonna get the transparent wheels like on the picture, but it came with black wheels. all black. with "freeline" wording on it. Not that much a biggie, sure, but i was just disappointed. i guess you can say that those wheels as pictured are "upgrades" and not "stock."great packaging though, and came super fast!in a nutshell, it's awesome! getting used to this thing took me about 3 days, half hour each day. but learning the moves took effort and dedication. i gotta admit, it's really challenging, but it's super fun! the fun really does outweigh the challenge of learning to maneuver this thing.it's something that i've never tried before...ever!this may sound like a cliche commercial phrase but, i'm glad to have found and purchased freeline skates. =D
