A plague doctor was a special medical physician who treated those who had the plague. This item is their traditional style mask. They were specifically hired by towns that had many plague victims in times of epidemics. Since the city was paying their salary, they treated everyone: both the rich and the poor. The packaging may cause a slight deformation issue. It will go back to its original and intended shape in a couple of hours. Just use something to hold the mask open.

Looks great and scared some kids!
Mask fit great and held up fine for halloween. I took a hole punch and added a few more holes under the chin to make it easier to breathe in and I crumpled up a plastic shopping bag to stuff into the beak to help it hold its shape. A few kids got scared when I walked up behind them on halloween with my kids. They ran away screaming. Fun times.

Mask looks as good as I expected.
I got this as part of a halloween costume for a work thing. I was expecting it not to look quite as good as the picture here on Amazon, but I was very surprised. Not only does it look spectacular but the only thing that I would say is that the eyes have a thin-ish plastic covering you see through and it was a little bit out of place but 2 seconds later back in place and it's great.

Adult sized mask with color variation from picture
This item stated it was a youth mask when purchasing (which has now changed), and it is an adult sized mask. Also, the picture shows the eye “goggle” part and circles lining the beak as a rust orange color and they came as a light brown. Overall the mask is good. My nephew is still happy with the mask even though it’s pretty big on him.

Good quality, looks great
This mask is great. It’s rubber, and the detail is amazing. When it’s on it looks like it’s made of metal and the eye parts look like goggles. My daughter loved it for Halloween, but she did get very hot and had a hard time breathing with it on for an extended time. It looks really cool tho.

You get what you pay for, I guess.
It looks great from a distance but once you get closer you can tell it’s cheap which I guess you get what you pay for. However the lenses that came in the eyes are a very thin plastic and the are warped to heck. Can’t see very well through them and will more than likely have to be removed before it can be worn for more than 5 minutes which is pretty disappointing. Not worth a return for the price we paid so we will just have to come up with something to make it work and not look completely ridiculous

Fits kids and adults
Great quality for the price. Just what my 11 year old wanted. I was worried about it fitting, but it fit him fine. Is big enough for an adult as well.

Made my Halloween
Love it! Perfect for giving out candy. Vision is a bit limited so not too much walking around. Most people did not realize that I was a real person.

Great plague doctor mask
Pretty good value compared to masks at stores. The headband is buckled and adjustable. You have to stuff the nose cone with tissue paper or it will stay flat. One star off because the lenses are clear instead of mirrored or screened.
