Money or Silver Dollar Plant Seeds, Lunaria annua

The dried seed pods (shown here in the photo after the two outer membranes that actually hold the seeds in place until ready for dispersal) are among the most unique and beautiful of dried flowers (in fact, only the stalks and inner membrane of the seed pod).This order was placed approximately two years ago, and this is just the same amount of time the Lunaria annua plant needs to complete its growth cycle. My wife and I are most happy to say that we recently harvested and dried the plant for its shimmering seed-pod membranes, which are now on display in our house. The process yielded a big bunch of seeds, so, regretfully, we will not need to made additional orders of this particular plant anytime soon.

I ordered these seeds in the winter and was asked for review when snow was still on the ground. When danger of frost was goneand while I was planting other things in my garden, these were given prominent place in 2 locations. I had them years ago andwas looking forward to sseeing them again. Unfortunately either my care or dead/old seeds, whatever the case, they did not sproutand produce plants. I cannot recommend and am very disappointed. I did not contact the company, however, so some of theblame is probably mine. But will not buy from them again. Maybe they will see this and send me new seeds, and I 'll change myreview.

Healthy plants, but saw a 60% germination rate indoors. I saved half the seed for direct sowing once weather permits.

I just got this in the mail today and I couldn't be more excited! My grandmother had one of these plants and I can't wait to relive a part of my childhood and see my little one react to this fun plant as she grows!

I have planted the seeds. many of them sprouted. I am anxious for them to grow and mature and produce the silver dollars as promised on the packet.

They never grew I figured last year when they didn't Sprout up let's give it a try this year nothing came up planning them in several different locations nothing happened and I barely got any seeds

This is a fun plant to have in a garden. The first year it's pretty flowers and the next season it's tissue thin silver dollar size shapes with lots of seeds for the next year. The second years corp make beautiful dried arrangements for the home or to give to friends.
