Nice Big Enclosure BUT there are some things to consider...
The media could not be loaded. This is a nice big roomy cage. The monarch caterpillars easily climbed to the top to form their chrysalis. This is my first year at helping the Monarch make it to butterfly status and move on. There are two things that I didn't like about this enclosure. #1 It has a flimsy bottom...if you want a stiffer bottom you have to fashion something yourself. But now I've learned that you do not want the developing butterfly that has just emerged from the chrysalis to fall very far and certainly NOT fall on a hard surface so maybe the flimsiness of the bottom of the enclosure is a good thing. I will not be using this enclosure in the future for the caterpillars or a place for the cat's to make their chrysalis I will only use this enclosure for the butterfly to gain strength to fly. Plenty of unobstructed room for the butterfly to flutter and nice mesh sides to grab ahold of. #2 I did not like how difficult it is to zip and unzip this enclosure. I am really not too sure this enclosure wasn't a returned item...because the zipper is kind of puckered in places AND the clear plastic side was all wrinkled, making it difficult to see through. I set it in the sun fully expanded and the wrinkles came out nicely in the plastic and now I can see through it and it is like looking through a window. Another reason I am switching to a smaller enclosure to raise the chrysalis because when you are zipping and unzipping the enclosure (because it is so difficult) the enclosure shakes and really shakes those hanging chrysalis. if they happen to not be attached well...the chrysalis will fall. I had one fall but made a hammock out of silk material and oddly enough the chrysalis ATTACHED to the silk while the caterpillar was fully enclosed in the chrysalis. I have no idea how that happened but then I could easily hang the silk with a pin from the mesh side of the enclosure. In Summary...I will be purchasing a smaller one of these for the caterpillars to eat milkweed, crawl to the top and form their chrysalis and emerge as butterflies. I will be using this larger, 36" one as a place for the butterflies to gain strength before release. The zipper was tough to zip and unzip in the beginning, DEFINITELY CANNOT use one hand to zip and unzip takes two hands. GRAB it with one hand, pull taunt, and zip with the other. Quality is good.

Butterfly habitat
The media could not be loaded. Birds were eating the monarch caterpillars on my milkweed so I bought this net to keep them safe until they turned into butterflies.

Great for Butterfly Observation.
Worked great for enclosing milkweed plant and seeing all stages of Monarch Butterfly’s.

Just the right size to put the whole potted milkweed.
Bought it so I could put the whole pot in it and the caterpillars are protected instead of trying to continously feed them fresh leaves.

Not very sturdy
This was cute for butterfly habitat it was easy to put together but complicated to put way it came in a square but now it’s a long rectangle. I wish it had a strong hold on the one of the bottom sides I placed a plant inside but when I picked up the weight went down and tipped over the plant made a bigger mess and harmed one butterfly. Overall it’s Okay I would recommend for only butterflies nothing else inside

Caterpillar haven!
With the devastating decline in butterflies (and all insects) we purchased this to protect the caterpillars from birds and wasps that feast on them. This is perfect to enclose our parsely plant on which the Eastern Black Swallotail laid eggs this year. The caterpillars are protected through the chrysalis stage, and transformation to the beautiful swallowtail. The habitat is a fine mesh, that allows light and rain through; it's washable and folds easily for storage.

Item returned for refund
I returned in packaging as this was not what I was after it has mesh walls I thought they would be PVC, I should have read overview of item properly I guess

Big when open and folds well.
We had a group of butterflies that stayed in this for a few days. It was quite big so they had space to fly about until they were released. It folded up well for easy storage so I'll use it again next summer when we have more.
