This so called book is almost assuredly a poor attempt at grabbing someone's cash. There is no information that cannot be obtained from the help page on the Arduino website. In fact, I'm almost positive that good portions of this book are plagiarized from the free resources made available by Arduino. The text in the book is written in large font with double spacing; much like what you would see in a lower level children's reader. There are no code examples of any value and descriptions are vague and almost completely useless. Take a look at the other reviews. Every single 4-5 star review contains overly generic descriptions and reek of ballot stuffing. Those that scored this book highly all seem to spend quite a bit of time reading self published books and providing 'great' reviews. I suspect that those reviews are fraudulent. This author is taking advantage of Amazon and their customers.

good starter book.

This is an very general book. If you don't know how to do a web search or you know nothing about Arduino then it may have value. Building a robot is basically buy this kit then put it together. Programming the robot consists of "you can download the sketch to run the robot from..." The book does define the difference between a "sharp craft knife" and a "box cutter" if that is important to you taking the next step with Arduino! Fifteen minutes of web searching will provide more information. About 23% of the book is previews of other books.

buying this book is money to garbage. i'm really beginner and i learned nothing in this book

ATTENTION! This "book" is very very small and it is only for take money, it isn't useful. Bad job. :(

I have just bought a book entitled "Taking the next step with Arduino" by Steve GoldWithin 2 minutes of opening the package I contacted Amazon to return it.The text is all in an unnecessarily large font and double or triple spaced with extremely large margins all done to bulk out the near non-existent content to fill a slender volume.It has no diagrams, no programming information and no technical information whatsoever. It is nothing short of being a simple con job.I'm too old to pursue it with the Trading Standards people but someone should.DON'T BUY THIS BOOK.
