Seriously! This book was an answer to prayer. My husband and I have been followers of Christ for many years. Even so, we've stuggled with our prayer life and have found that we are not alone. Many of our Christian friends have confessed the same. Alistair Begg is one of our favorite preacher/teachers. We've followed him for years. When he published this book, we pre-ordered it. We were so excited to read it.Please, if you love the Christ and wish to deepen your relationship with Him, get this book. I have it on my Kindle reader and my husband has the paperback. It has blessed us beyond measure. I know that it will you as well.

Anything I've ever read from Alistair Begg is edifying and beneficial. I am convinced Alistair Begg is a true man of God, one of the rare Biblical truths preachers and Christian writers in this age. And his subject of praying big, praying in general is most vital at this time. I would recommend this book and any by Alistair Begg to any Christian and especially any on the fence person or outright unbelieving. Because these writings could help anyone grow closer to God our Father and Jesus Christ the Lord, and come to know the importance of prayer in daily life.

Praying made simple , not complicated.

As Alistair guides his readers how to pray and what to pray based on what Paul is saying to the believers in Ephesus, you will be fully enlightened as you perused and go through the entire book. Your pangs of hunger to the written Word as well as one’s desire to develop a well meaningful prayer life, will be fully met as you go through to each chapter through the guidance of the Holy Spirit as well.

Alistair Begg is one of my favorite pastors. I do not substitute going to church and participating in worship locally. I find Begg a didital mentor, as I do Chip Ingram, and Timothy Keller. I highly recommend Begg's book on prayer.

Loved the book. Reminds us why we need to PRAY BIG and what that really means. Highly recommend it.

This book both challenged and inspired me. If you are looking for something that will give your prayer life that extra boost and encourage you into a deeper relationship with God I highly recommend this wonderful, thought provoking read.

The most practical book on prayer that I have ever read (and I have read a lot of them), but still not a perfect one. I have some niggles. I particularly question Begg’s recommendation to drop the words “Be With” on pages 32 and 33. It may be true that you won’t find a prayer in the Bible that makes such a petition, but it IS something that God promises (see, for example, Genesis 26.3). If God thinks this is worth mentioning in his word, then why shouldn’t we ask for it? Despite this, I still recommend this book big time. If read with discretion, it could transform your prayer life. It has certainly transformed mine.

It’s very useful

This book challenges how we pray. Grounded in scripture as it takes up Paul's teaching in Ephesians. Well worth a read. It will challenge and maybe even change the way you pray. Great book!

This book is so helpful as we are challenged by God to renew our prayer life afresh. Buy two copies ... one for you and one for a friend

Great, easy to read but leads to a bigger view of Jesus and a desire to know him better. I read this again at the beginning of lockdown and found it a great focus for prayer through this time.
