Exploring the Minor Prophets (John Phillips Commentary Series)

Tends to stray from the topic at hand. Has numerous loosely related rants and discourses on modern Judaism and the Book of Revelation without a strong link about how and why these topics are related to the passage that is being discussed.Spends a lot of space simply repeating the Bible verse rather than explaining it.HIs book on Daniel was good; this book was really disappointing.

The John Phillips commentaries are excellent. Mr. Phillips approaches Scripture literally, and provides historical background to the passages, and a great deal of insight. I only wish that his commentaries were longer and more detailed.Well worth the money!

Good book. I used the book Exploring The Book of Acts in class and it was very beneficial in that study. I bought this to learn more about the lesser read prophets. Good insight on them.

This was my first book of His Commentaries. I also own the entire new Testament commentaries of his series. I have read and reread the Minor Prophets Commentary many times over the last few years. He sticks to the truth, the true interpretation, and gives a Bible scholars insights into the scripture in a way that is easily understood and powerful. we could ask no less of a called preacher of the Gospel. The Holy Spirit has used this to grow me.

Excellent author it was good to find the book I needed for research.Good price and came when expected.
