Works great just be sure your battery can handle the draw ...
Works great just be sure your battery can handle the draw and the wire from your battery is at least 2awg wire no longer than 6 feet if longer than 6 feet you will need 0 to 00awg.Your inverter will not produce 2000 watts if your wire is small or your battery does not have enough output. The inverter is equipped with a over draw protection as to not harm your battery. Most problems can be solved with the right wire and battery I hope this helps.

Garbage!
Won't even run a small 1500 watt, portable heater. Even on low, 800-1000 watt setting, it overloads with a beep. Garbage!

Cheap, still isn't worth it.
Worked great till the warranty went out. 2 months later it quit, had a Cobra 2000 watt for about 10 yrs, and left in my old truck when I sold it. Won't buy another Centech.

Exaggerated specifications from Cen-Tech. It's an "acceptable" device if you treat it as a 800 watt with a 1200 watt peak.
Cen-Tech is a Harbor Freight house brand. This means that it works, but has inflated specs and is built using lower quality components and materials to maximize profits. Mine can run 500-800 watt "continuous" and will peak closer to 1200 watt. This is all dependant on the type of load it is supplying, the cable used to connect it to the battery, and the condition of the battery and / or the vehicle electrical system. I can run my laptops, phone chargers, tablets, hotspots, LED lamps, and point of sale equipment all day with it without it overloading or overheating. If I run something like a circular saw, table saw, electric drill, etc I can only run one item at a time and have to not run it more than a few minutes at a time then give the inverter a break to cool down. This also applies when running large incandescent lights. To sum everything up; use it as if it were a 800 watt unit with a 1200 watt peak and you'll be fine. If you need the 2000 watt continuous you'll need to buy a similarly specced unit from a quality manufacturer.

I would buy again
Owned for many years. Used with solar setup. Runs laptops, desktops, TV's, monitors, Yamaha stereo receiver (no noise or distortion), Nintendo Wii, electric lawn mower (not at the same time mind you). kept in harsh environment 90 plus degree temps and never had an issue with inverter or any device plugged in. I was using good batteries (not lead acid lol). It runs quiet.

Awesome Product
I've had it in my Big Rig for over 2 and a half years and I've never had any problems or issues with it at all. I have a microwave, small refrigerator, television, and DVD player ran to it and everything runs fine. Great product.
