Amazon Essentials Men's Lightweight Water-Resistant Packable Hooded Puffer Jacket

Well, I was skeptical about this when I ordered it thinking that for such a low price it would be just about passable as a 'keep-it-in-my-bag-for-emergencies' type jacket but have found that I've worn it much more than my normal winter coat. Why? It's so light that you don't know you're wearing it, windproof, warm (surprisingly given that it's so thin and packs down into the supplied small bag), showerproof and comfortable. The warmth is the most surprising thing; -3 degrees today and I'm still not getting cold. And there was me looking at similar looking coats at double or three times this cost thinking they would be better. Buy one, they are simply brilliant.

Got this cheap in the sale mainly as an emergency extra layer to put in my rucksack but it looks quite decent and I might use it quite a bit as a casual pop into town jacket. Its not very thick so I imagine not particularly warm compared with some but then it stuffs down into its little bag and is quite lightweight. I got a medium as normal and it was a nice fit with still enough room to have a jumper underneath. I am very short so it reaches to the top of the leg keeping my seating area warm yet the sleeves aren't overly long.The two side pockets can be used just to keep your hands out of the wind but are quite large and zip fastened if you want to put something in them (hat and gloves or phone).I don't expect it will be very waterproof but my idea is that if the weather turns bad when walking I can slip this under my waterproof for extra warmth without getting soaked in the process.Only down side is the zip fastens the opposite way round to expected i.e. the slider is on the right hand side.

It weighs 420 grams which more than I was hoping. However, it is warm and packs down small. I'm hoping to use this for hiking. Certainly value for money.

How is it possible to buy a packaway jacket for £11.80 delivered. Obviously can say anything about the longlivety but the quality seems OK ( stitching etc) Feels nice to wear and also feels warm . Great to pack in hand luggage at this time of year when warm countries can be cold on a evening. Packs down quite small for a jacket. So yes very happy with purchase .

Good quality, comfy, not thick for winter but great for chilly wind. For spring and autumn it is perfect as it is waterproof. In winter I used as second layer with fleece layer inside and it was perfect. Not sure about longevity but for now it looks good.

This jacket is lightweight. The zipper is on the wrong side as in on the right side opposite to the left side for males. Other than that the size was right as ordered. It has to outer zip pockets and a deep inside pocket with no zip. It comes with its own small bag which the coats packs into. Can't comment on water resistant. Hood is a decent size to keep the cold out. This seems like a good spring/autumn coat at a reasonable price when bought on offer.
