I purchased this as the total package that included the handset lifter and set it up with an VOIP phone (Mitel 5220). This works BEAUTIFULLY. The handset lifter took a bit of fiddle to find the perfect position before attaching, but not at all difficult. I use this with the over-the-head attachment rather than hanging on my ear and find that far more comfortable and user friendly. It is so lightweight, I forget I have it on. The range is great - I can be all the way out in my yard and pick up a call. I use this all day for work and have yet to find the battery run down. The difference this cordless headset makes in my work day is well worth the $$$ spent. Highly recommended.

I love this device, which I bought with the optional (but really important) Handset Lifter, which allows you to start your phone connection or hang up remotely (on the side of the headpiece. I got the earpiece (as pictured) along with an over-the-head one-speaker version in the same box, so you have your choice (I use the latter). Just note that, in order to use the handset lifter, you MUST have a phone that has a traditional handset that sits in a cradle (and when you lift it from the cradle, you get a dial tone), and NOT only a wireless phone with a button you press to get a dial tone. It works fine with a wireless OR digital phone system, as long as the phone you are tethering the Handset Lifter to has a cradle. If so, I find it works perfectly and the convenience was well worth the price. The range is fantastic (anywhere in my house) and the sound quality is quite good. Some reviewers complain about an "echo" of their own voice in the speaker. I get that too -- but ONLY if I turn the volume up a great deal. If I nudge the volume down a bit, the echo goes away. VERY happy with this. I think you can get it with a bundle including the Handset Lifter, or you can get them separately, but I recommend getting them both.

Works very well for our office's needs. We get very little incoming calls, but I need to be able to answer the phone away from my desk. The headset does not notify me when there is an incoming call until the second ring. Not a huge deal, but note there is a delay. I always like to answer on the first ring. A few other phones in the office ring when there is an incoming call, so I can usually still answer on the first ring. I don't know if there would still be a delay if I did not have to use the handset lifter. If you don't know how it works, the lifter has a microphone that picks up the sound of the phone ringing. The lifter plugs into the headset dock. When the phone rings, the lifter sends a signal to the dock. The dock then relays to the headset and the headset beeps to let you know the phone is ringing. The mic on the lifter is very good. It picked up the sound of me pulling packing tape off the spool 5 feet away. That is the only other sound it has picked up though. It was pretty loud. Like I said, we don't get very many calls (maybe 3 a day) so battery life has not been an issue. I still put the headset on the dock while I'm at lunch and over night to make sure it is charged. I wear the headset over the ear. I have not tried the other ways. It took some getting used to and the smallest clear ear piece that goes in my ear I think is still too big. The boom pivots at the point where the inner ear piece is and I was able to pivot it away from my face that made the inner piece more comfortable. Some reviews complained about the over the ear piece being uncomfortable. I think it is comfortable. It comes with a foam sleeve that goes over the over the ear piece. I don't know if people are taking that off when they wear it. I would leave it on. I wear glasses and I have not had a problem wearing both things on my ear. I do have to put the headset on before my glasses though. I have not had any complaints from callers not being able to hear me, and I can hear the caller very well. This is the first headset I have ever used so I don't have anything to compare to, but I think it is good.

Works well and has held up a year or so in.

Lightweight. Took a few days to get used to putting it on ear. But used to it now. Very comfortable. Wear it all day. Battery lasts a long time. Very clear. Volume rocker on side makes noticeable difference. I have had other wireless headsets and this the best so far. The handset lifter works well and appears designed for long use. These can flame out pretty quick, but the way this is designed it should hold up for many, many uses. The unit itself is very slim and minimal and has a very unobtrusive footprint. It takes up very little room on my desk, and this includes the lifter too. Both are very compact. Good product. Worth the extra cost to move up to this.

I've lived in Plantronics headsets for 15 years that had great sound, were comfortable all day long, and could be tossed down on a desk with little consequence when a call was over. Their newer line is a disaster on all these fronts. They used to have a nice microphone that sat on the outside of the ear with a cloth cover, but this highly functional and comfortable variant has been discontinued, as verified by direct contact with the manufacturer. On the new model, the earpiece options are a cumbersome over the head clip that could be from the 60's, or an intrusive and uncomfortable ear gel that sticks down into the ear, gets tiring during even a short call, and worst of all, delivers wretched and muffled sound. The button on the back is very sensitive and the ear gel makes the set tip easily, so if you want to set it down anywhere but it's cradle, you have to carefully balance it on the gel or it flips over, presses its own button, and picks up the phone. I'm sure somebody out there likes this model for some reason because they built it, but it's incomprehensible to me that they discontinued far more functional versions for the rest of us. Utterly incompetent project design.

L'écouteur a bien fonctionné pendant 2 semaines. Ensuite maintenant on me dit que on mentend de très loin, ou l'interlocuteur s'entend parler, ou on m'entend de très loin. Idem de mon côté. Je suis extrêmement désappointé car je prends des centaines d'appels par jour et ca rends ma vie compliquée au travail. Je ne recommande pas du tout. Évidemment, j'ai dépassé le temps pour un retour ou un échange, cest 300$ lancé dans l'eau.
