Game changer on my boat.
I bought this over a year ago and waited to do a review to see how it held up. I love it. I actually ended up buying another one and now have one on the front and back of my boat. We spend a lot of time anchored up, catfishing in a big lake. They absolutely changed everything! No more swinging back and forth tangling lines. If you're thinking about it, do it! They were easy to install and wire and have been an absolute asset. Can't recommend them enough.

Husband & Wife LOVE
It’s so nice not having to put the anchor down manually anymore! Put one on both ends of the boat so we each have one and they work awesome!! Remote is cheap and didn’t work very long.

Great Product
Winch Works Well, have it mounted on the bow of my 18ft deep-v. The Remote and auto deploy function work flawlessly.

Love mine.
I love this overall but I do think the remote control could be better built for sunny weather, mine has started to show signs of deteriorating and it’s only been about 7 months of use. Overall it’s very powerful and works great just the issue with the remote.

Fair value for money but still cheaply China made!
I purchased 2 at the same time one for front/rear of 16 foot pontoon, they worked well at first, then the buttons on both remotes fell off after only 1 week! Plus buttons were difficult to push to activate switch on remotes, I had to use bobber to push switch after buttons fell off. I lost 1-10 lb. anchor due to the cheaply made d ring shackles included. Then after 3 weeks one winch broke the hex drive socket (very cheap casting) that the spool shaft connects to resulting in a pending warranty claim. Don't trust the included anchor safety tether while transporting either, which in turn made me lose another 10 lb. anchor with 100 feet of rope dragging down the highway behind me with no way I could see this with the pontoon obstructing any view from mirrors. Considering buying 1 more but I don't know, first hopefully I can get warranty replacement with no problems. I would prefer made in USA Minkota but price is more than twice as much.

Great for boats up to 24'
Rigged this on a pontoon boat with 20lb anchor. Worked well. However, 4 months later the plastic axle on the spool broke and I had to replace the spool. The MinnKota Deckhand 40 winch is a much higher quality unit but more expensive. The Trac is an entry level unit for lighter anchors, IMO.

Saves a lot of back aches
This winch is installed on my 18ft Express and it works great. I catfish which means I move quite often and this sure beats manually pulling up a 20lb anchor every time. Do not like the remote - great idea but it does nothing but give you problems. I installed a corded switch and ran it to the back of my boat - works great.
