Avalon Organics Strengthening Peppermint Shampoo and Conditioner Set, 11 Ounce Each

I have used these products for many years. The latest bottle of shampoo and conditioner are watered down. They used be very thick and you did not need to use much. Now you have to use at least twice as much to get the same effect.

Avalon Organics is one of my favorite brands, since I suffer from fragrance allergies. But I am not allergic to smells, so I love the natural oils in many Avalon Organics products.The shampoo in this case feels slightly dry with an oddly unpleasant smell of something like dust or mustiness. I simply did not care for the "texture" - but it cleaned well, and left my hair perfectly nice.The conditioner was amazing. Nice peppermint scent, and very effective. Soothing, I would say.Both left my hair nice and soft, with just a tiny hint of the mint smell for a couple hours (which is really nice).

I love the smell of this shampoo and conditioner but after a few days of using it my hair was super dry and felt like straw. I would not recommend this product for people that have normal (not oily) or color treated hair.

The shampoo is too much like a watery liquid as some other reviewers noted & created some waste the first few times I used it until I got used to it. The conditioner is a normal texture & smells nice. Overall it cleans & softens my hair as it should, but it’s an average product and not something special I would buy again for the price.

I was so excited. I love mint, needed a new bath set and was stoked to find a strengthening set! I hopped in the shower only to be terrified after using just the shampoo. I have curly, bleached hair but WOW there was ZERO conditioning properties or moisture in the whole bottle! After the shampoo I hurried to put in conditioner to save my hair and it was even drier! After an hour long hair mask my hair was still stripped dry of every oil. Even the peppermint smell was weak and artificial. Super dissapointed and definitely going back to my old stuff

The scent and amazing. The shampoo does seem to dry out your hair a bit but if you buy the set the condition solves that and leaves your scalp feeling fresh. This is the only shampoo/conditioner I’ll ever use now.

I have used Avalon products quite a bit and like them all. This shampoo and conditioner are very safe products if you want to reduce your exposure to chemicals and toxins. I love the shampoo. I use the conditioner for its nutritive value, but it does not detangle my long hair very well. I add another product after this conditioner to help with the comb through.

The smell is heavenly and actually smells like peppermint until other product I have tried. I also really like the lotion it soothes my eczema on my hands as well as my chapped skin from the winter weather. I go through a lot of shampoo because my hair is thick and curly but I really like this shampoo and conditioner.
